Chapter 49

Bella's P.O.V.

The Denali's left earlier than planned but they were still here for three days. My vision is back to normal and everything seems to be going back to how they were. We all went to school in the day and then came home and had fun as a family. They let me drive my car to school some and it was a lot of fun. Esme and i are doing great but recently she's been a bit cranky and shes had to go hunting more than she would normally. I guess she's just well i dont really know what's wrong with her she won't answer me.

"Hey Bella will you come over here and help me out?" Alice asks.

I'm not entirely sure why she would need my help because I'm no where near as capable of anything like she is.

"Yeah sure what do you need?" I ask as i get to her.

"I know why Esme is acting the way she is...shes pregnant Bella and that means the baby is growing faster and making her feel weird. I've already ordered everything you guys will need but you have to break the news to her." Alice says quietly to me.

"What!?!"

"Bella you are from the legend. It clearly states that you and your mate will have a baby. You guys have had sex many of times and never thought about protection. The legend is starting to happen and now you need to talk to Esme." She says like im dumb.

Dang I forgot all about that thing. Dang it im so stupid...Esme may not even want a kid and here I am putting it up in her with nothing. Now she's freaking prego with my baby and dang I'm screwed.

"Alice does uh does everything turn out okay?" I ask.

"Yeah you'll be surprised but you have to tell her today so she doesnt drive us all insane with her pregnancy urges." Alice says and leaves the room.

I walk out of our room and go to her office. Shes sitting at her desk working on a house plan that needs to get started by tomorrow so she is quickly scribbling through things and making things look somewhat decent. I walk over to her and lean down and kiss her getnly on the neck before sitting in the chair besides hers.

"Hey Esme I need to tell you something." I say and she stops what shes doing and looks up at me.

"What is it?" She asks.

"Well um uh you uh..." I look around nervously and then look at her stomach. I place a hand on it and I feel a baby kick on my hand. I look up at her and she's smiling brightly at me and then looking down at her stomach and placing her own hand on it as well. "I forgot to use protection I'm sorry Esme I forgot about it." I say and look down at the floor.

"Bella dont look to the floor. Come with me we need to check on our little miracle. I'm so happy Bella thank you." Esme says and wraps me in a hug.

I hug her as tightly to me as i can and place my face in her neck and wrap my legs around her waist. She stands up and walks us out of the room and into Carlisle's study. She sits down on the bed and she starts to rub my back softly.

"Please look at me Bella." Esme says.

I slowly look up and see the love in her eyes and on her face. She is beaming with joy and happiness.

"Esme..."

"No stop Bella I'm happy. We are going to have a baby and they will be perfect. Stop worrying about it and looking upset." Esme says to me.

I smile to her and kiss her softly on the lips before i get off of her so Carlisle can check on our baby. I'm only puttibg on a smile for her on the inside I am freaking out and nervous about all of this.

"Congratulations you two. You have a set of twins in there it appears and they are both healthy. No worries. You will need to come back to me every two days to check up on them and to see when we will be delivering the two of them." Carlisle says.

All I hear though is twins. Shes having twins. Is it hot in here to you guys because i am sweating up a storm over here. All I hear is mumbling and when I look up i see a panicked Esme looking and saying something to me but I'm nlt understanding her. I go to talk but nothing comes out and then the room starts to spin.

I close my eyes for a second and then I open them to be on the ground looking at the ceiling and blurry faces hovering over me. I try to tell them something but nothing is coming out once again. Images start to fly through my mind and dragging my attention to it all.

I'm in the hospital wrapped in a blanket. I see Renee looking at me with disgust clear on her face.

"Wont you just shut up you worthless piece of shit!" She yells at me.

I guess i dont stop because she comes towards me and then she's putting pressure on my neck causing me to have trouble breathing. I see spots in my vision and then the prssure is lifted off and the spots go away. I see her looking relieved and then she sits back down and smirks at me.

"Try and cry now bitch." She starts laughing.

Suddenly I'm in a dumpster laying in my blanket and someone else is picking me up looking worriedly at me.

"Oh you poor poor thing. I'm going to get you the help you need." They say.

Then I'm on the front porch of the orphanage. The three ladies pick me up and take care of me.

"Bella come on snap out of it and come back to us." I hear someone say.

I open my eyes and I see Alice standing kver me.with a worried Esme laying in the bed trying to get to me.

I look to Edward and he looks devastated. Jasper is having problems with his emotions because of what Edward is feeling and also what Esme is too. I push Alice towards him and stay on the floor trying to put things together. I saw my past. It wasnt pretty nor was it nice.

"Bella please get up and go to Esme and then tell us what happened." Alice says.

I slowly get up off of the floor and head to Esme. I sit in the chair besides Esme and grab her hand with mine and intertwine my fingers with hers.

"Nothing happened. Dknt worry about anything guys I'm fine feeling much better." I say and look away from everyone.

"Bella..." Edward starts.

"I said I'm fine!" I yell and storm out of the room.

Im not fine.
