Cecilia's POV

Nothing had changed about me since I was in sixth grade and my hair went from thick to thin, and even that wasn't anything big. It was minor. But what I had just done, it was major.

I'd dyed my hair a deep purple color in my bathroom. I loved it, but I wasn't sure. Tyler would have to give me the okay to make me feel the slightest bit better.

"Tyler?" I called out. Within ten seconds, he was standing next to me.

"Ye-holy shit you dyed your hair." I nodded and he started to feel it.

"Do you like it?" I asked. He nodded.

"I love it, Cec," he replied, making me smile. Having him like it made me happy. Confident, even.

"Is that offer still open to hang out with you and your friends? Or did I wait too long?" I asked with a smirk, knowing he would say yes.

In his room sat the two boys that I'd noticed all of that day. The tall, brown haired one and the short, black haired one with a lip ring. I sat down on his bed, not acknowledging their existence.

"This is my sister Cecilia," Tyler said, sitting on the floor with them. I nodded.

"Hi," the black haired one said, waving his hand, "I'm Frank."

"Nice name," I mumbled. He smiled. The tall boy was just looking at me blankly. That's when I recognized him. He was the boy that always was in at least one of my classes. The one that nobody paid attention to...until me. I'd secretly admired him for three years or so. He just had a look that resembled what I had imagined as a boyfriend for me.

"Mikey," he mumbled, "t-that's my name." I nodded. He was stuttering and I really had no clue as to why.

Maybe I'm just too scary.

But, I refused to change that. At least, at that time.
