It was time. I was about to perform.
The location was an old park that Mikey and I used to go to. It was where we hung out, smoked, drank, and made out a lot...and maybe some other things, but that's not my point. It was our spot.
I got the thumbs up from my sound dude who had just sat down and connected a speaker. I walked out, amazed by how many people were there. I'm just me.
"Hey!" I yelled, waving. There were many cheers. "Are you ready for some fucking songs?" I got the same response. I took a deep breath and heard the beat start to play.
