Cecilia's POV
When I introduced Mikey to Cassie and Brendon, they absolutely clicked. They became friends instantly, really.
"So you're from Jersey?" Brendon asked him. He nodded.
"Born and bred," Mikey replied. Cassie smiled.
"You realize Cecilia and him have the same accent?" Cassie asked him. He nodded.
"It's just cool to me." I rolled my eyes.
"Cool? Accents? You're from Vegas. They have the strip and whatever things teenage boys do. Accents are cool to you?" He rolled his eyes.
"Yeah. Just because I am not innocent doesn't mean that I'm not a child inside," he replied, making Mikey and I cringe.
"Innocent?" he asked. Brendon nodded.
"Please don't elaborate," Cassie said. I agreed.

At night, Mikey and I had to leave. Brendon insisted on coming, but we made him stay. During the drive back home, I just kept sneaking glances at him.
"This is great," he suddenly said, "y'know, you and I. To think that we've both liked each other since middle school and we just admitted it like a week ago." I nodded, pulling into his driveway.
"It's insane how we never figured it out." He nodded and just looked at me for a minute.
So I took my chance and I kissed him.
And it was great.
And then he left.
And then I went home and I didn't stop smiling.
And then I fell asleep with a smile.
And then I had a dream about us living happily ever after.
And I was the happiest I'd been.
