Percy POV

I took out my bracelet and held it up to show her. She looked at it furiously as if inspecting it.

As soon as she looked up I could see Annabeth's stormy grey eyes opened wide and she just froze there inspecting me. She scrunched her eyebrows together as if she was challenging me to a duel.

I look back at her in here imitating eyes, accepting it.

"Who are you?" She asked me again, this time with more caution in her voice.

I chuckle playfully at her, "I already told you, I'm Percy. Or more specifically, Perseus Jackson crowned prince of Oceania. Even more specifically I am named after my great, great uncle twice removed."

She rolls her eyes, "Believe what you want," She attempts an impression of my voice, making me sound very low and rough

"I'm Annabeth. Or more specifically, Annabeth Chase crowned pauper of Unfortunately. Even more specifically I am named after nobody I know in this world."

I frown at her.

"Always believe that you can do better than you have. If you don't you will never achieve your goals." I told her "If you keep believing that you're sad and unfortunate you will never get any a happier or luckier."

"Come on who are you now?! The great philosopher of Greece?" She teases me or- harasses, same thing I guess "I thought you said you were the prince of Atlanta, now your the great philosopher of Greece."

"Well..." I started " Many of my tutors are-" I get interrupted by a shout of my name from the wall behind me.

"Percy were are you" Jason suddenly called from the alleyway behind me "Your Dad won't be happy If I go back without you!"

I took one last look at Annabeth, took out her hand and gently kissed her. " I will be back my lady" 〔For some reason this reminds me of miraculous, anyone else? No? I'll just continue the story.]

I called to her as I hurriedly left the alley. As soon as I gotten out of the dark alleyway I took a left and ran, trying to find Jason and head back before I get into big trouble back at the castle.

"Oh, there you are Percy I was wondering where you have been." Jason said. "We better get heading back to the castle or, else you will get in BIG trouble and I will probably lose my job and get kicked out."

"Sure I guess we better get going , I'll race you to the castle." I yelled back at him because I was already running off to my horse; blackjack.

"Last one there is a rotten egg." I yell to him.

"Hey no fair" He whines.

I saddle up my horse and rode back to the castle racing Jason.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see Jason catching up behind me. But, my thoughts weren't on the race, it was on that girl, Annabeth. Her beautiful honey blond hair, those rosy red lips. She seems so confident, Attractive and so smart.

Her eyes, they are prettier than I could ever subscribe. Those stormy grey eyes seem to pull you into a trance.

The hoofs of my horse gallop on the gravel ground. Clop clip clop, I'm almost back at the castle.

『』

When I got to the castle Jason was already waiting for me at the tree, munching at an apple.

"What took you so long, you usually beat me, anything on you mind?" He asked me.

"No, nothing" I replied a little too quickly. He smirked, sensing that I was hiding something.

I ignore him and climbed back up the tree trunk and when I got the right branch I slowly walked across it and jumped into my balcony.

I ran into my room and got on my desk to make it look like I was studying all morning. I looked down at the papers that I was spouse to fill out. The letters on the page swam around rearranging themselves.

The letters started blurring and a headache formed, I closed my eyes waiting for it to disappear. Just then there was a knock on the door.

"Your highness, your father the king needs you at his office fast." As the person finished their sentence, I heard his footsteps hurriedly fade away.

As soon as they were gone I ran out of the room and ran to the stairs and slid down the railing. I made a left at the second hallway and got to my father's office.

I knocked on the door. "Come in!" He replied. I pushed open the door and helped myself to a seat.

"Percy, I here to talk to you about a serious matter." My father said."We need to work on your recent behavior, running away, ditching meetings, ext."

I gulped. This isn't going to turn out well.

"More importantly you have kept a visitor for meeting you"

Just than a fizzy red haired girl walked into the room. She gave me a faint smile and a slight wave of her hand.

My father cleared his thought, we both turned to look at him. "Meet Rachel Elizabeth Dare Princess of Delphi,"

My father paused for extra drama "Oh ya, and your future wife."

I stormed out of the room not knowing what to think. I could run away, but where would I go? What would the kingdom do without a heir? I just can't leave.

I lay-down in bed, my face against my pillow not knowing about what to think or even act, the news about my "bride" puzzled me, there is freedom of speech, freedom of religion, why can't there also be freedom of marriage?

Then a sudden Image popped in my head of a blond girl with stormy gray eyes, that I can't take my mind off of. I scolded myself and made the picture disappear almost as soon as it came.

I scold myself, I can't be thinking of other girls while I know that I am going to get married. I get out of bed and walked to the balcony looking at the stars.

There was a mast forest in my view that paired together with the stars. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, as soon as I did

Annabeth's face popped out again in front of me. I hold out my hands, as if I was giving her a hug. I grin like a madman, her body heat radiating my body. I close my eyes again letting her image suction me into a trance.

...

I opened my eyes. In my mind I knew something was wrong with me, I am probably going crazy.

I grin "Yep definitely going crazy" I say to myself.

I needed some fresh air, I needed a break from royalty, "I shall head out to the city" I mutter under my breath.

I decided to take the same route I took this morning, backing away from my balcony, took a starting head jump and held on to a tree branch and swung my way to the bottom.

I landed on my butt in the soft summer grass. I stood up and slowly went to my knees and crawled hoping that the guards won't see me.

I got to the royal stables and saw that Blackjack was wide awake munching on some fresh hay.

"Hey boy, want some sugar cubes?" I ask him. Don't ask were I got them, I seem to always have an endless amount of them in the luxury of my pocket.

I saddled my faithful horse, Blackjack and took off into the hard stone roads, leading my horse to the city were I had meet Annabeth.

I don't know why I decided to go there, I guess I must have followed my heart not my brain.
