I lay down on my bed looking that the complex patterns engraved into the roof. There is something special about Annabeth, but I just couldn't put my finger in it.
The way how she could pin me down or her grey eyes seem to enchant you. In my heart, I knew that I loved her but, that she will never be the right one for me.
There was already someone else that I am supposed to be with. I hear a soft knock on the door as a series of giggles followed it.
"Who is it?" I call out.
I reply I hear a soft giggle "It's me, Percy dear you new bride, your dad thought that we should spend some quality time together"
I sigh deeply as she finished her sentence, the girl outside was the one and only Rachel Elizabeth Dare. Scratch that, Your high royalty Rachel gracefully beautiful dare, as she preferred it.
"What do you want?" I said clearly annoyed, I crossed my fingers hoping that she sees the fact that I don't want her here right now. I really didn't want to see anyone at the moment.
She didn't take the bait "Sweetheart, just let me in already."
I frown, knowing that there is no other choice. I lazily get out of bed and open the door for her.
"What you do want sweetheart?" I roll my eyes as I see her standing outside. I really wanted her to just go and get on her day.
She goes on her tippy-toes and plants a soft kiss on my cheek. When she looks at me again, a small smile slowly spread from the tips of her lips.
"I was thinking Percy that you and I should go to the royal garden and have some fun and a nice chat" She looked up at me and fluttered her eyelashes.
I didn't even have time to answer, when she dragged me down the stairs well, more like shoved. I plant my feet still as she tugged me along the freshly polished granite floors.
She takes me to the back doors of the castle when she opens the big doors to the garden she grins in delight.
I look outside the light blinding my eyes. I look away as the sun seems to get brighter. She dragged me out to the center of the garden and planted me on a bench, as she sat right next to me.
She leaned so close to my chest that she could probably fell the thump of my heart beating wildly.
"Percy I wanted to say, that we are getting married soon and that we should do something to celebrate." She said as she traced her finger across my collarbone.
" I was thinking that we should plan a big ball and announce that we are getting married to the peasants of our kingdoms so, that no one else will take me from you"
So, that's what she thinks of people like Annabeth Peasants, Servants of our kingdom?! I close my eyes and take a deep breath trying to calm myself down.
"Rachel I am sorry, I have to go I think that I hear my dad calling." I practically screamed in her ears trying to change the subject.
I gently push (Hardly shove) her off my lap. I get off the bench and sprint back to the castle doors. I look behind me to make sure that she wasn't following me.
When I look back at her she gives me a shy smile and a wave of her hand.
"PERCY!?" I hear a strong, clear voice call my name. I turn around at the last second before crashing into to a person.
"Percy? Why are you here?" I look up to see face to face with my dad King Poseidon.
"I'm sorry dad, I was with Rachel out in the gardens as you wanted?"
"Who said that I wanted you to be with Rachel today, you have an important speech at Madame Aphrodite's shop today, and you can't be late!" He looked down at me with pure disappointment in his eyes.
"Hurry up and go get changed, I will be meeting you in the carriage outside."
I quickly dash to my room to get changed. A thought ran through my mind, Why would Rachel trick me and tell me that my dad wanted us together? I slid on my "formal" pants and sprint outside.
When I get outside I see a coach waiting for me outside. I quickly hop in the cart. I sit down to find myself face to face with my dad.
"Percy, how do you like your bride, Princess Rachel of Delphi? " I could tell that my dad wanted to start a conversation but, this was something that I didn't want to talk about right now.
I turned my head towards the window and put a pout on my face.
He rolls his eyes.
"Come on Percy, who wants blue cookies?" He chuckled.
When I was little I would do anything for blue cookies so, whenever I got pouty my parents will give me them and I will be happy.
I'm almost old enough to have my coronation, that old trick won't work on me!
I roll my eyes at the window and continued looking out. My dad took this as a sign that I didn't want to talk.
We sat in the stuffy carriage until I was overheating, then the angles took pity on us and decided to put an end to my torture.
"Your highnesses were here!" The coach called from up front.
My dad stepped out of the carriage proudly and took his place on the royal stadium. I followed his steps and stood next to him.
I quickly scanned the crowd to find some familiar faces, hoping maybe Jason would be here saving me from my torture. By, shooting me annoyed looks and mouthing jokes.
My eyes quickly settled on a girl, one with curly blonde hair tied up in a ponytail, and eyes that were stern and gentle, the grey eyes seem to stare into your soul.
Wow, she is scary. She looks like she is able to judo flip anyone.
It hits me, my eyes open wide. I think I know her.
Annabeth is that you?
