Percy POV

My head buzzed. Not buzzed more like a giant sat on it and then played horseshoes with it.

I guess it could be worse since I surrendered myself to the enemy. For all, I knew they could have killed me.

My shoulders were sore, and my fingers felt stiff. I could feel the cold metal braces against my wrists. I give it a soft tug, something stops me from moving my arms.

The buzz in my head starts getting stronger, and I close my eyes squeezing them shut. As the buzz slowly fades it leaves a small migraine.

My arms were numb and I could barely feel anything past my shoulders.

What hurts the most was the heavy feeling of dread weighing me down. It wasn't from my chest from the lack of oxygen but from my heart. I wanted to save her, I needed to save her, I gave them everything but instead her they saved me.

I'm not sure if being chained to a wall counts as being saved but, I'm still alive. She is not, she is cold, stiff and worse of all 100% dead.

The damp air from the cell was making the heavy feeling in my chest grow larger. The air smelled like a mix of swamp water and a hint of sewage.

The cell I was in was pitch dark except for a small outline of light showing the faint shape of a door.

I hear heavy footsteps coming from the hallway outside, it stops abruptly as a jingle of keys ring. The lock from the door clicks open, the person behind the door works on a second lock.
I guess they really don't want me to escape. At least on the bright side, I get the satisfaction of knowing they will have a hard time opening all those locks.

When the door finally creeks open a man walks in holding a bowl of water and some old bread.

"Master says that we can't have you dying of starvations." He mumbles under his breath.

His voice the quivering slightly. "Even though that would be a lot more satisfying."

I look at the server bringing me my food in the eyes. His eyes were electric blue, they were tinted with layers of emotions. Perfect, this person I can play with.

When you are the crown prince they not only teach you battle strategies and taxes, but they also teach you how to manipulate.

I grin at him, my eyes narrowing. When I open my mouth to speak my voice croaks from the lack of use.

I can taste my breath in my mouth. "Are you afraid of me?"

He pulls back slightly in my outburst.

His tone changes now, more strict and commanding. "Of course not, I'm not afraid of you! You are tied to chains and I'm the one in charge. Be respectful to your jailer or I won't give you food."

My stomach rumbles slightly, the timing of it is just perfect. I look down to the food that he has set down. The water was tainted with a light shade of yellow and the bread was moldy. Even though my mouth watered from the sight of food. I was starving.

Forget diplomatic, food is much more important.

"Give it to me," I growl.

He just narrows his eyes and sets the food on the floor. "Go get it if you can." He mocks me.

Right before he turns around to leave, he looks at me straight in the eyes. All the sorrow from his eyes are gone, it's now replaced with a fiery inferno of anger.

"I can't believe Annie got herself killed for you."

As soon as I heard her name, my cracked heart shattered throwing me into a million pieces at the worse time possible.

"Annabeth," Tears were streaming down my face, burning my skin. "don't call her Annie. She doesn't like it."

He gives me a smile as if he doesn't know what I was talking about. The door creaked closed behind him and the locks click. The small outline of light from behind the door still stays.

My stomach howls for the food he left at my feet. He knew I can't reach it for my hands are chained to the wall. I know it, he knew it, but I still yearn for it.

That yearning is just a tiny fraction of what my heart feels. I can taste her name on the tip of my tongue. It's a really irrational fear but I think that if I let her name out to the world one more time she will disappear.

That's why I just repeated her name to myself over and over again open to heal my shattered heart.

I don't know when I drifted off, but I woke in the middle of the night freezing. I realize that I haven't really ever felt this sensation before, of course, I've been cold. But I've never been freezing.

The glow from the door was gone now and all I could see was the pitch black chaos of the night. I wished I could hear the chirping cockroaches or the rare hoot of an owl. I couldn't hear anything, that leads me to believe that I would never get out.

I stared at the darkness. I couldn't tell if my eyes were open or closed all I saw was darkness.

I don't know how long I stared or where I looked at but I know that time has passed. I know that because the glow around the door appeared again.

This time a different figure entered through. I could see his face clearly even though there was little light. I looked into his eyes trying to find some sort of weakness, instead, I found an endless golden spiral of time.

Who is he?

He turns around to the two people accompanying him and waves them away. When the door closes behind him he takes something out of his back pocket. It is a small rectangle of metal with a circle in the center.

"It's a camera." He says the word as if it was poison. "I would have gotten a more advanced system but this was the farthest in time I could summon. I was saving most of what I have left for this."

His smile shows me that he is going to do something disgustingly painful. What kind of painful weapon is that so call camera?!

He gives me a knowing smile. "The camera isn't going to hurt you. I am."

He holds the camera by one hand and presses a button.

The camera softly beeps. "Hello, Olympians. Your hero is at my feet, bowing down before my presence. You better surrender now because you now have no hero."

In his other hand a glowing ball of light forms. Whatever he is going to do I know it's going to hurt.
