Prompt writing 1

{Patrick's POV}

I had been planning on proposing to Pete for a few weeks now, but I was too nervous to actually do it. I hated my shyness sometimes, but Pete seemed to love it so I dealt with it.

It was probably around 2 or 3 in the morning and I thought I would just slip the ring on his finger and see what happens. He's a deep sleeper, right?

I grabbed the ring out of the box as quietly as I could and climb back into bed. Once I make sure he's not awake, I lift his hand up gently and slip the ring on. I get it on without anything happening but right as I start to set his hand down, he grabs my wrist. Oh crap.

"Patrick?" He asks, his voice was still heavy with sleep. Aww, he's so cute, I can't believe I just ruined it.

"...Yeah?" I reply, my voice shaking slightly. I really loved him and it would break me if he broke up with me.

"Did you just put a ring on my finger? I think you're supposed to ask before you do that silly." He laughed, turning towards me.

"Umm... I might've done that, yeah. Sorry, I was just so nervous becauselikewhatifyoudidn'tlovemelikethatsoyoubrokeupwithmethatwouldbreakme." I blurted, looking at the bed sheets.

"Don't be nervous love, I would never ever say no to that. You are the love of my life." He told me, rubbing my shoulder. I looked into his hot whiskey eyes <A/N: ;) > and gathered up all the courage I could.

"So, um, would you like to marry me, Peter?"

"I would be honored to Patrick."

{Patrick's POV}

Nothing happened and I almost squealed, but then remembered it was 2 or 3 in the morning so I decided not to.

*That morning...*

When I woke up, Pete was gone. I freaked out momentarily but then calmed myself down because what are you even worrying about he might be making breakfast for all you know.

I got up and didn't even bothering to put a shirt on. I was comfortable and we had been dating for 1 and a half years.

As I walked into the kitchen, I saw Pete playing with the ring. Oh sh-crap.

"Morning Pattycakes. How'd you sleep?" He asked. Why didn't he say anything about the ring?

"Fine, and you?" I replied, trying to seem normal and not stare at the ring.

"Great, actually, but this morning I woke up and felt something on my hand... then I saw this. Do you have any idea what it could be?" He was acting sheepish and it kind of scared me.

"Uh...um...I-I don't-" I stuttered before he cut me off.

"You do know you're supposed to ask the person to marry you instead of just putting the ring on their finger right?" He laughed, shaking his head.

"Ugh yeah, sorry. I was just too nervous." I mumbled, looking down at the floor. Did he hate me now?

"You don't need to be, baby." He told me, his voice comforting me more than I thought it could.

"Alright, um, will you... Marry me?

"Obviously. I love you to infinity and back." And with that, he brought me in for a kiss. It was quick but amazing, and when we pulled away he whispered, "You look seriously hot without a shirt I suggest you do that more often." I laughed and ended up doubled down almost on the floor because of that.

"I hate you, Pete."

"I love you too, pumpkin."

A/N: Ha idk what that was. I did a poll on twitter and this prompt tied votes with another, but I wrote this first. The other one will probably be up the day after tomorrow, but yeah. I hope you enjoyed this. It's so random and short, but it's fluffy so...
