Ok I know the meet and greets are mostly before the shows but for sake of plot lines, it's going to be after the show. Also, I got too lazy to reread and edit it, so I apologize for any mistakes. | The last person at the meet and greet is a really timid girl who seems really scared. Everyone is more than ready to leave, but this girl kind of made it all disappear... (918 words)

"Alright boys, I know you want to leave, but there's one more. Just please be nice to her, she seems really nervous." Our manager walked into the room, earning a groan from us all. It was about two hours after our show, almost 12. We had met with probably 30 people, spending our time with each group, as there weren't too many people this time, even though we were all practically falling asleep.

The last girl walked in, smiling when she saw us. She had tears in her eyes, not overflowing onto her face, but you could definitely tell they were there. Her mom stood back, near the door letting her walk to us. Before she actually did walk to us, she looked back at her mom, expecting her to walk with her. Our manager was right, she was really nervous. I walked up to her and hugged her, knowing she wouldn't be confident enough to do that herself.

"You guys saved my life. I would've said it first, but I've never been able to tell my mom about anything. But I really appreciate everything you've done." She whispered in my ear, her voice cracking slightly. Her words made my heart shatter. I felt bad for her, but I didn't dare say anything. I understood the situation she was in.

When I pulled away, I looked over to the guys and gave them a knowing glance. They knew exactly what it meant and walked over to me, smiling at the girl.

"What's your name?" Andy spoke first, offering her a seat by the wall.

"K-Katherine." She said, tears flowing onto her face. I thought I heard her whisper 'you're real', but I wasn't sure.

"That's a beautiful name!" Joe exclaimed, making her blush.

"How did you enjoy the show? Did you scream a lot?" Pete asked, making her laugh a bit. We all smiled at that.

"Of course! I love all of your songs. The concert was amazing too. I've never been to one before." She told us, becoming more confident.

"Wow! A meet and greet at your first concert! Your mom must love you a lot, huh?" I laughed slightly.

"Actually, I bought the tickets myself. Saved up all my money this summer from working. I work on my family's food truck. But, yeah. My mom loves me a lot." She said, adding that last part hesitantly. She rolled my eyes when I said it though.

"Wow, that's amazing! Most teenagers, and adults actually, spend their money right when they get it! I'm impressed." Joe laughed, eyes widening when she said that.

"Thanks. I, um, have a question for you guys before we go?" She said, us nodding in response. "Who do you write for? The fans or yourselves? The lyrics are so meaningful, I've always wondered if they were meant for us in particular or just something to yourselves."

"That's a great question, something I don't think we've ever been asked actually. I think Pete and I both have answers for that." I replied, looking to Pete. "For me, I kind of just write whatever comes to me. When Pete edits it, or we go over it together though, I always make sure it has a meaning to you guys. I want our lyrics to make people go 'I can relate to that!'. I want people to know they aren't alone."

"It's the same for me. I say what comes to me, but I definitely make sure it has meaning to you guys. You guys are the people that make us come together. If it wasn't for  our fans, we wouldn't be the band we are right now." Pete told her, making her start crying again.

"Without you guys, we wouldn't be the people we are either. I really appreciate everything you've all done. You guys mean so much to me." She said, smiling widely at us. We all nodded in agreement.

"Alright Kat, time to go. Sorry." Her mom spoke up, uncrossing her arms and standing straight again. She frowned slightly but got up nonetheless. We all did the same, each hugging her for a decent amount of time. Before turning around to her mom, she mouthed 'thank you for everything' to us.

We all waved and said our goodbyes, sitting back down when she did leave.

"I hope that girl gets better." I sighed, leaning into Pete on the couch we were both on.

"What'd she say to you at the beginning?" Joe asked, laying on the floor.

"She said that we saved her life, but she couldn't say it aloud because she wasn't able to tell her mom. I didn't ask, but if I had to guess her mom had a big part in why she needed saving in the first place. Did you see how she immediately obeyed her mom when she said they had to leave? No teenager will do that normally, let alone at a meet and greet with their favorite band! She must not have wanted to start a fight if I had to guess." I explained, receiving nods from everyone.

"I feel bad for her, a family who doesn't act like they love you is the worst." Pete said, stifling a yawn.

"No kidding there Petey." I replied, kissing his forehead and getting up, checking my phone in the process. "Let's get out of here guys! We have a break this weekend, let's go sleep!"

"I in no way will argue with that." Andy laughed, getting up as well, pulling Joe up with him.

fin.

Ok hiya! Sorry, this wasn't very Peterick-y, but I tried to add some in at the end? Sorry if it felt a little forced! I randomly got this idea on the way home from work, it's kind of been a daydream for me as well because I had a choice to go to a meet and greet once. (I didn't because I would've had to sell my first tickets and blah blah) But it's very much what most likely would've happened if I did go. I hope you enjoyed this one though! It was actually pretty long, considering I figured it was going to be like 400 words.
