I woke up to an empty bed and I freaked out. Pete must have realized he made a mistake and didn't want to confront me about it.

I got up, put some pants on(still shirtless), and walked into the kitchen, wanting to get some coffee before seeing Pete, and I was greeted by the best scene possible. Pete, standing in just underwear, cooking breakfast and swaying to his music(which was playing What A Catch).  I quietly sneak over to one of the bar stools and sit down, just watching him.

He almost dropped the pancakes when he turned around, I just giggled and smiled at him. "Goodmorning."

"Morning to you too. How long have you been sitting there?" He asked, setting the pancakes down and sitting beside me.

"Just a minute or two. Thanks for breakfast." I replied.

-after breakfast-

"So... do you remember what happened last night?" I couldn't help asking, I really wanted to know if he was sincere or not.

"Ummm..." He paused for a second, "No, what happened?"

I turned in my chair, so I facing him before I started talking. He did the same. "Well... around 3 in the morning you came into my room and got into bed with me. You wrapped your hands around my waist, all without saying anything. About ten minutes later you whispered something in my ear..." I stopped, seeing if he wanted me to tell him what he said. He nodded, edging me on. "You, um, said 'I wish we could do this every night. You're so much better than Maria, And plus, you're really hot Patty.' "

He hesitated for a moment before standing up and leaning in really close to me. "To be honest, you are really hot Patrick." He whispered, and before I could say anything, he kissed me. I instantly kissed back, like it wasn't the first time we admitted our feelings.

I pulled away shortly after, remembering he was STILL DATING MARIA. "Pete, as heavenly as that was, you're still dating Maria. I'm not that kind of person. We just can't do anything unless you break it off with her. I'm really sorry."

"Oh... well, as a matter of fact, I have two things I need to tell you. One, I lied. I remember what happened last night, I was just nervous you wouldn't feel the same way as I do. Two, I called Maria this morning. I told her 'I don't see a future for us, we just don't click anymore. I'm sorry, but I think we need to end this.' She agreed, saying she didn't either and that she enjoyed the time we spent together, but yes, it was time to end things. So, we can be together now Pat." He told me, smiling a huge, genuine smile. I couldn't help but squeal just a little bit. I had been looking forward to this moment for like 2 years.

"I... I don't have any words for you, Pete. This is better than what I could've imagined." I exclaimed, getting up and hugging him.

"Well, I'm kind of glad you don't have any words because then I can do this." He kissed me again, picking me up, bridal style, and walking us over to the couch. And when he sat down, I was in his lap.

I started to giggle uncontrollably, and I don't know why. He broke the kiss, looking at me weird. "What's wrong, Stump?" That just made me giggle more. I don't know what happened.

"I-I don't know *giggle*. I guess I'm just *smaller giggle* not used to this yet." I began to calm down, just smiling now, with a few giggles everyone once and a while.

"You're too cute. But what? Are you not used to kissing? That's kind of sad, but I guess I could teach you." He winked. I hit him on the shoulder for that.

"No! I'm just not used to kissing you. Or sitting in your lap. Or any of this. Dating my best friend? It's something out of a movie. I just can't believe it's happening to me." I explained, sighing.

"Oh, ok." He laughed, adjusting my head so I was looking into his eyes. "I don't know about you, but I for one am glad this is happening."

"Me too," I replied, kissing him again, briefly. "You are an amazing kisser, I think I could actually use a lesson or two." He just laughed, kissing me again.

"I don't know, you're a pretty good kisser yourself." He smiled against my lips, and I shook my head, kissing him again. I could stay like this for forever.
