It's been awhile since Tom came home, but he still had a worried look on his face. I thought at least by now he would've calmed down. I'm here and safe! Nothing else bad happened, so what was he worried about. I decided that I should try and help calm him down, I'm what made him worry after all.

"Hey Tom, let's go play ping-pong!" I told Tom.

As began to play I realized his eyes shifted back and forth. As I hit the ball to him he weakly hit it back.

"Don't go easy on me Tom."

"Oh, okay." He replied.

As I hit the ball back to him he completely missed. This wasn't normal, usually, he's really good. Ping-pong might not be working, we should do something else.

"Hey, Tom want to go watch a movie. I'll make some popcorn and you can pick the movie."

As he slowly walked over to the couch to sit down, I realized whatever is bothering him was really bothering him. What could be so bad? I've never seen something bother him this much. As the popcorn finished cooking, I went out to sit down. As we watched the movie and ate popcorn I could tell his worries started to fade away, but they were still there. His eyes started shifting again. I can't take this anymore I need to find out whats wrong.

"Tom is there something bothering you?" I asked.

"N...no, everything is fine."

"It's obviously not, you've been acting weird ever science you came back!"

"Star it's nothing you have to worry about."

"If it's bothering you this much then I do have to worry about it! Tom, you are my friend I'm not going to stand by and watch you act like this."

"There has been a monster roaming around lately. I thought they got to you when I saw you weren't still in the cave."

"A monster, that's what you're worried about? I can handle a monster. Plus isn't that normal for monsters to roam around down here?"

"This isn't any normal monster...they have a great power and can easily defeat you. They're very dangerous and can cause a lot of harm. "

"Who is it?"

"That's the thing, no one knows who they actually are. Almost everyone is staying inside now. Just to be safe I don't want you leaving the house anymore too."

A chill ran over me knowing no one is safe down here anymore. At least we're safer inside, I couldn't imagine how much trouble you would be in if you went outside.
