Marco: Lost in Thought

I found myself starting to walk faster and faster with every thought going through my head. "Geez, slow down!" Damien yelled from behind. I was so deep in thought that I didn't even notice I was about a hundred yards ahead of him. I decided it was best if I stopped and waited for him to catch up. While I was standing there waiting for form Damien I looked around at where I had stopped. It looks like a normal street corner, well besides all the demon stuff everywhere. There were some building near the street, but all the signs were worn off. They looked pretty abandoned, but then again I am in the underworld to them this could be normal. I wonder whats in or was in those shops. What kind of interesting and creepy things did they sell? Star would love to go in one, she always loves looking at unique and unusual things. Maybe once I find her and this whole 'monster' thing blows over we can go to them. I can already see her bouncing around through the store pointing out all the cool things. Then finally finding one that just catches her eyes and she can't look away. I even know the exact face she would have. It would be the one was her eyes light up so bright it almost looks like there are big stars in her eyes. Then her mouth would drop to the floor in awe.

"Marco!!" A voice yelled. I snapped out of my fantasy and looked over a Damien who was now only twenty yards away. He was pointing at the sky and ducking in fear. I couldn't see his face, but I'm guessing it's mortified. I looked up in the direction he was pointing and saw it. It was a black cloud floating through the air. Isn't this normal down here for people to be using magic? I mean Tom once summoned Mackie Hand for me and that was in the human world. So wouldn't this stuff be normal? I could tell though by the way Damien was reacting that something is horribly wrong. Then I took one more look at the cloud and saw it was moving quickly in one direction, straight towards Toms house.
