The humming sound was faint, but I knew it was there. Where was it coming from? I know it would be stupid to not wake Tom up, but what of it turns out to be nothing. He looks so peaceful asleep like that, how could I wake him up? I'm sure it's just the wind or something.
I sat back down on the couch next to Tom and tried to go back to sleep. I snuggled in and closed my eyes. I couldn't fall asleep though, all I could hear is that humming. It has to be the wind, right? I couldn't even think of anything else that it could be. Curiosity got the best of me and I decided to look around. I slowly go up from the couch, so I didn't wake Tom. When I got up I tried to figure out what way it was coming from. I turned my head trying to see if I could figure it out. I couldn't hear a certain way that it was coming from, it almost sounded as if it was all around me.
I began to walk around the house and see if that could help me find where the sound was coming from. I don't even know what I'm looking for. As I wander around the house trying to find the source of the sound I had no luck.
"Maybe it's not even in the house." I thought. "It could be coming from somewhere outside." I couldn't go out there though. After how I felt when I planning my little trip before and I didn't even go on it. Imagin how bad I would feel if I actually went outside. But if I just went for a little bit it couldn't be that bad. I'll be out and back in a few minutes. I have to find what's making that humming sound. I'll get my wand, it will be my protection and my light since it's really dark out. I quickly walked into my room. Right when I was about to grab my wand the door slammed shut behind me.
