Marco: The Beast

I was stuck with a decision to make. Should I play it safe and walk away or risk it all and go see what the demon wants. I only had a small amount of time to think, but my mind had made a choice. I'm going to talk to them! I would risk anything for Star and they might have an idea where she is. 

I cautiously walked over to them. When I go to the door they quickly reached their hand out and grabbed me. I struggled to get away, but it was no use. They had pulled me inside the house and locked the door. Inside it was very dark and I could barely see. I could still hear though and the sounds of footsteps stooped around me. My heart sank as I felt a chilling breath go down my neck. I quickly turn around and started backing away until I felt myself slam up against a wall. The footsteps slowly came closer to me. What does this person want from me?!? That's when a match struck.

"What were you thinking?" The demon said while lighting a candle.

"What do you mean?" I replied.

"Roaming around outside at a time like this! You must have a death wish."

"I'm still very confused. What are you talking about? Also, where is everybody?" I wanted answers, but at the same time, I was afraid to get them.

"Have you not heard about the beast around here?"

"No, I haven't...."

"Lately a horrid monster has but wandering around down here. They have great power and only terrible intentions. They're not your average monster either, and there is nothing that could ever get rid of them. So it's not safe to be roaming around outside anymore. In fact, you're not safe anywhere anymore."

A shiver ran down my spine. No one is safe. I need to find Star fast. What if she's in the open and easy a target for the beast. Luckily she is with Tom, he's protective of her. I couldn't imagine him ever letting her get hurt. Still, I won't stop feeling uneasy till I have her in my arms.
