Jumping out of bed the next morning I got straight in the shower. I put on the outfit I packed which consisted of brown combat boots, light wash jeans, a burgundy button up and a beige sweater.
When I got downstairs I grinned at my family. Pico, Zander, Grandma, and Grandpa were all here. I pushed away the sad feeling I got when I didn't see Austin among them.
"Booger!" I exclaimed hugging him.
He hugged me back," Bambi, how are you?"
"I'm good, you?"
He shrugged," I'm good, same ole same ole."
I nodded and turned to Pico," sup cuz." I hugged him.
"Sup."
Pico and I weren't as close to Zander and I. Growing up Pico usually was, well Pico was a bad boy of sorts. He really only hung out with his two friends and they did whatever far away from everyone else.
He's kind of grown out of that as he's gotten older. He's still keeps to himself a little but he's opening up more.
"Pop pop!" I hugged my grandpa.
He hugged back and held me at arms length," how's my superstar?"
"Super." I grinned giddily.
"Where's that girlfriend of yours?" He asked me.
I smiled," she should be here soon."
Nodding he patted my arm and I went and hugged my grandma.
"Hey Gran Gran."
She patted my back," hi sweetheart, will you be helping your mother, Ali, and I in the kitchen?"
I chuckled," grandma the Steelers are playing the Colts, can't miss it."
"Damn right you can't, you're going to miss the Colts getting their asses kicked." My grandpa said.
"Grandpa said a bad word." Aiden exclaimed pointing at him.
"Waylon!" My grandmother hissed.
I looked at Aiden," don't repeat a thing he says." I said sternly causing Aiden to nod his head affirmatively.
My grandpa smiled apologetically before diverting his attention to the tv screen.
I shook my head and walked into the kitchen.
"- I don't see why not, it's only one more place to set."
I raised a brow," who's the guest?"
"Drew," Ali responded," his dad had to leave for business."
"Oh, cool. I mean, the Drew coming over thing, not the dad part."
Ali rolled her eyes.
"Lex get your grandpa and I a corona!" My dad called.
I grabbed their beers and a bottle of Sprite, the fancy glass bottle kind, and went into the living room. Handing them their drinks I plopped down and looked at the tv where the thanksgiving day parade was airing.
The first game wasn't to start until 1:30 so I had time.
The doorbell rang and before I could even stand Ali was at it. Seconds later Jess, Nick, CeCe, and Drew stepped in.
"Welcome to our humble abode," Ali joked.
They chuckled and came into the living room.
"Hey mom." I smiled at CeCe," hey Nick." I nodded.
