Reacquainted

A/N: Hey guys! So I wasn't going to post this chapter at first because really it's just a filler. But I figured you guys wanted to see some #Jelex cuteness. It's shorter than most chapters but I hope you guys like it.

Oh and one more thing. Can I just mention how stoked I am that I created a ship. When I saw the first comments about #Jelex I flipped. Thank you guys for that!!😘😘

It's a strange feeling to have to reacquaint yourself with someone who you love.

It seems like something you wouldn't have to do but I did.

Jess and I had been apart for four years, too long if you ask me. We had to get to know each other again, the new us.

My plan was to take her somewhere that was sort of symbolic to us. Somewhere that would make it more comfortable.

I woke up at 10 on Sunday and went into the kitchen where Abbie was. Her eyes were barely open as she sat at the counter sipping coffee.

Walking behind her I placed my hands on her shoulders and gave her a massage.

She was so stressed and tense. It can't be easy being a parent and a teacher, I would know, sort of.

A moan slipped from her lips," your hands are magic."

I chuckled," yeah well call me Houdini." I joked.

She snorted and shut her eyes again. Her shoulders started to droop as she was falling asleep. Hooking my arms under her legs I carried her bridal style up to her room and laid her back in bed.

I made Abbie and JJ pancakes and bacon for breakfast before putting it in the microwave, leaving a note on the fridge, and leaving.

Hoping in my beautiful truck I took the drive over to a boutique and bought a bouquet of amaryllis and a bouquet of hydrangea then went to Jess' house and went up to her apartment.

I knocked on the door and waited for it to be pulled open by her.

"Good morning gorgeous, these are for you," I held the flowers out to her.

Her hand went to the back of my neck as she pulled me in for a kiss," thank you. They're beautiful."

"CeCe around?"

On cue," I heard my name." She came out of the office.

"M'lady." I held the hydrangea out to her.

She gasped," they're gorgeous Alex. Thank you so much."

I smiled and nodded," anything for you ma."

Her eyes went to mine and she beamed.

I knew that if/since Jess and I are back together that I wasn't going to let her go this time. CeCe was most definitely going to be my mother in law.

She approached me and wrapped her arms around me. I gave her a tight hug before pulling away.

Chuckling I pulled away and turned to Jess," go get dressed my love."

"Why?"

"No question, just go." I pointed down the hall.

Her eyes rolled and as she walked past me she lightly pushed my head to the side.

As we waited CeCe told me that the social worker they were working with was going to set up a meeting with Markus. She wasn't sure when it would be but it would happen.
