"Alex come on you've been cooped up in here for days." Megan said nudging my leg.
I laid in bed curled up in a ball, I wasn't crying but I was in pain. Losing the person you love is hard.
Apart from going to class and work I stayed in the suite, despite my friends attempts I just couldn't.
"Meg, no." I sighed, rolling over to face the wall.
Sighing she stood and left the room.
Shortly after I heard things behind me and seconds later the covers were yanked off me.
"Get up, no more of this feeling sorry for yourself shit. Jess is missing out and that's not your fault. Get dressed and meet us in the living room in thirty." Declan ordered with a frown on his face before grinning, kissing my forehead, and leaving.
For five minutes I contemplated whether I should listen to him or not. In the end I knew he'd make me get up anyway so I jumped up, took a shower, and got dressed.
Declan picked out for me, black jogger jeans, a black button up, black and gold jordan 7's, and a black snapback. His fashion taste was great actually.
After getting dressed I brushed my hair out and met them out in the living room.
"That was forty minutes," Declan said looking from his phone to me," let's roll."
We all followed him out of the suite and over to the Kappa Phi Gamma House.
They of course let us in and Tyler pulled me into the kitchen with them.
"Here's to forgetting," Declan raised his glass.
Sighing I raised my glass before sipping it. It was fruity but strong. Rolling my eyes I drank the rest of it.
As much as I hate to admit it my friends were right. Jess broke up with me, I hadn't done anything she just broke up with me. It was time I try moving on.
Taking another drink, I downed it, and went to the dance floor. What better way to have fun than dance.
As I danced I felt the alcohol in my system creeping up on me. I started feeling fuzzy and warm.
The song got really slow and sensual and a girl danced up to me.
Despite the darkness I could still see her. Long auburn hair, green eyes, nice shape. Clad in a burgundy romper and black heels. She was cute.
"You're Alex right?" She leaned forward and asked over the music.
I nodded," yeah, I'm afraid I don't know who you are though."
"Izzy," she smiled.
"Nice to meet you Izzy," I said as she danced a little closer.
Deciding to just go with it, I put my hands on her hips and danced with her.
She ended up being my partner for the rest of the night. We played beer pong together and eventually we found ourselves sitting around an empty beer bottle with a few other people. Megan was with us as well as Tyler.
Megan took her turn and spun the bottle. It landed on me and I gulped.
Downing the shot next to me, I rolled my shoulders, and leaned forward to kiss her.
Her lips were soft and full, covering my entire bottom lip as we kissed. Pulling away from each other we sat back.
"That was hot!" A guy shouted from the back.
