The bed dipped suddenly and my eyes snapped open.
"It's Christmas Lexi, it's Christmas!" Aiden exclaimed jumping on me.
I glanced at the clock on the bedside table that read 11:30 a.m.
"Drew it's Christmas!" Ali ran in and jumped on Drew and me," Twin it's Christmas!"
I wrapped Aiden up in my arms," Merry Christmas Aide!" I peppered his face with kisses," let's go wake mom and dad."
Aiden, Ali, and I went to our parents room, counted to three, and jumped on them," MERRY CHRISTMAS!"
My dad almost immediately wrapped Aiden up in his arms and hugged him. My mom groaned but sat up and hugged Ali and I.
"Merry Christmas!" They excaimed.
We all went downstairs in our pajamas where we met everyone else. My grandparents were still in their pajamas. CeCe, Nick, and Jess were wearing pajama bottoms but they had on Christmas sweaters.
CeCe's and Nick's red sweaters matched, hers saying Let It Snow and his saying Ho Ho Ho. Jess' sweater had some patterns and reindears on it.
"There's like a whole pile of sweaters in that basket if you want one." Nick said pointing to a basket behind him.
I grinned and walked over to it and grabbed a blue sweater that had an upside down snowman on it. Drew and Ali grabbed matching sweaters, his green one said I've Been Naughty her red one said I've Been Nice. Aiden looked for one and soon found a red one with a minion wearing a Christmas hat on it.
"Let's decorate this place." I said beaming.
Nick disappeared and came back shortly with a tub of decorations," there are two more."
My dad and Drew went and got the others.
Aiden and Ali started decorating the tree and I grabbed some garland and red tinsel and started hanging them from the doorways.
CeCe placed a wreath on top of the fireplace and on the front door. My mom hung the mistletoes. And my dad, Drew, Nick, and Mr. Hull went outside and started decorating the yard. I soon joined them and hung lights up by the gutter and on the window seals.
I smiled, one of my few truly genuine smiles since mine and Jess' break up.
"Come on guys." We all went back inside and into the living room where Aiden was holding the golden star.
We gathered around as he smiled widely. At first we let him try to reach up on his tippy toes to put it on, laughing at how adorable he was.
"Looks like someone could use some help."
My mom nearly screamed in joy as my brother Austin stood, in his green camo uniform and two bags slung over his shoulder. She ran to him and hugged him before he could drop the bags. Wrapping one arm around her waist, he sat his bag down and wrapped the other around her.
"My beautiful boy, I missed you so much." She cried.
"Awe mom don't cry, I missed you too." He said kissing the side of her head.
She pulled away from him and wiped her face as dad walked up to him. They hugged each other but didn't say anything, they didn't really have to.
Ali and I went to him and hugged him tightly. He wrapped an arm around each of us.
"Merry Christmas big brother." I said to him, ruffling his neatly cut hair.
He chuckled," where's my baby brother?"
