Old Times and Old Ties

I woke up, my arm numb from Jess' body weight. I smiled down at her. Her now long dirty blonde hair splayed out over my pillow, her lips turned up in a half smile.

I leaned over and kissed her forehead causing her nose to scrunch up. She snuggled into my side, nuzzling my neck.

"Your trying to be all cute and kiss me awake but little did you know I want a few more minutes of sleep." She mumbled, her hot breath blowing against my neck.

I chuckled," fine you sleep. I'll prepare breakfast."

I got up and put on a t-shirt before going downstairs.

"Sup man." I said to Drew who was, I'm assuming, making breakfast for Ali and himself.

He nodded and flipped the french toast," mornin."

"You guys leaving soon?" I asked.

He made the plates and grabbed a serving tray," yeah in about two hours."

I opened the fridge and said," okay, don't forget to say goodbye."

"Never."

I pulled out ingredients for peanut butter pancakes, Jess' favorite, bacon and eggs.

It didn't take long for me to whip the breakfast together and once I was done I took it, and some orange juice, up to Jess.

"le petit déjeuner est servi mon amour (breakfast is served my love) ." I said in french stepping in the room.

Jess smiled sleepily at me, reaching her hands out for the food.

I set the tray on her lap and climbed into bed next to her. I grabbed my plate off the tray and started eating.

"Peanut butter." She sighed chewing the food.

I chuckled and ate quietly as she told me about her job and college.

"Stop, wait, who asked you out?" I frowned.

She rolled her eyes," he didn't ask me out, he just asked to hang out. As friends."

"He knows for a fact you have a girlfriend right?"

"Of course, your picture is in my locker, along with one of me and you. I wear the hoodie with your name on it all the time. I've told him personally that I have a girlfriend." She said.

I sighed," something tells me he has a thick skull."

Sitting the tray aside she grabbed my plate, sat it with hers, and straddled me.

Her hands cupped my face and she leaned my head up to look at her," I love you. And you never have to worry about me turning to anyone else. There is no competition. You have my heart, always and forever."

I leaned up and kissed her," god I love you." I mumbled against her lips.

She smiled and jumped off me.

"Come on, we have to do something. We're back home, and together."

I stood up," I know where to go."

She raised her eyebrows.

I quickly changed into a pair of black jeans, combat boots, a tank top, plaid hoodie jacket, and a black SnapBack.

Jess threw on her clothes from last night and we were going to stop by her place after we left.

We left out my room just in time. Drew and Ali were packed and saying goodbye to my parents in the living room.
