Chapter 6

Misty's POV

The drive back to Jess's house was nerve wrecking. I tried not to glance at Calum through the corners of my eyes but I couldn't help it. I noticed he still had bags under his eyes. the only noise that was coming through the car was luke humming one if their new songs. I glanced back at Calum looking at him one last time but he caught me.

"What's wrong?"

He smiled but kept his eyes on the road. I cleared my throat.

"Oh nothing."

"Are you sure? you keep looking at me like you're surprised."

"Oh"

I could feel the heat climb to my cheeks.

"Are you tired? you seem tired because you have bags under your eyes. that's all."

He simply shrugged his shoulders and chuckled as he saw that Luke had passed out in the backseat with his mouth open.

"We're here."

He turned off the engine and got out if the car. I gathered my bags and turned to open the door but it was opened by Calum already.

"Thank you."

I said with a small smile as he helped me down.

"Yeah."

He closed the door behind me and walked me up to Jess's door. I took out the spare key I had and stuck it in the door. Calum cleared his throat and spoke.

"So will I be seeing you around any time soon?"

I turned to look at him. He was incredibly close to me. He bit his lip and tilted his head.

"Yeah I guess so."

My heart was beating so fast I could hear it pumping in my ears. Then it happened. Calum leaned in and I leaned in as well. As soon as our lips touched I heard a car horn and headlights shining on us. I jumped seeing Ashton and Jess come out of the car.

"Yuck! Get a room mate!"

Ashton shouted at us. Calum turned to look back at me and gave me a small crooked smile.

"So I'll see you around, Misty."

And at that he slowly walked away back to his car turning around to see if I was still standing there and I was. Shocked. Not again Misty not again. I headed inside the house and heard Jess drop her heels behind me.

"So did you guys get back together again?"

She raised one of her eyebrows and placed her hands on her hips.

"No he just kissed me. It probably doesn't mean anything though."

I could feel myself blushing again.

"Oh really huh?"

Jess walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind her. I went upstairs to my room and laid down on the comforter. I had a headache.

"Oh Misty what have you gotten yourself into."

I placed my hands on my temples and rubbed them trying to ease the throbbing.

I woke up the next morning to my phone buzzing. I sat up and checked the time.

8:17 am

I grabbed my phone to see 2 unread texts one from Jess and another from Calum.

Calum.

I opened Jess's text first.
