Chapter 29

Misty's POV

I sat in Seth's car as he drove us to grab some lunch since we were both starving. I decided to not think about Calum. All he was, was a problem to me and my life.

'Just let it go.'

I would tell myself every time one of us would mess up which was usually Calum.

"Let's go."

Seth tried to say cheerily. I loved how Seth stuck around even if I was a problem too.

"Seth?"

I asked walking up next to him.

"Hm?"

He stuffed his hands in his jacket pocket and looked down at me.

"Why are you still my friend after all of..this."

I said motioning my hands over me. He looked straight this time to open the door for me to go in first.

"Well. You're the first person to have the same mind as me. To be successful. And I guess none of my other friends had that mentality. They all ditched their dreams to party, do drugs, and have sex."

He stopped as a waitress took us to our table.

"And you're the only one who doesn't want that life."

"Well what about my problems. I mean, how do you keep up with me."

"Well every problem is fixable. And I just happened to be here while you were in the middle of it so thank me."

He smiled and slid a menu towards me.

"Order what you want because-"

"I'm paying."

I said smirking at him.

"Hey-"

"Seth"

I shook my head and looked down at the menu picking chicken tenders and a sweet tea. The same waitress that seated us came and took our orders.

"What would you like?"

She asked me getting ready to write on her little note pad.

"Chicken tenders and a sweet tea please."

I closed the menu and slid it over to her.

"And what about you babe?"

I bit my lip trying not to smile and laugh as she took Seth's order of a cheeseburger and a coke. Seth looked at me with surprised eyes as she left us to make our food.

"Well Seth, I see you're pulling all the ladies."

I wiggled my eyebrows at him as he threw a piece of his napkin at me.

"Whatever. I'm sorry are you embarrassed of my charming looks?"

I laughed hard and took the same piece if napkin and threw it back at him.

"You're funny pepper."

"Oh you're using my last name now?"

I giggled and cleared the table as the waitress set our food down.

"Dig in."

The waitress said mostly to Seth who was already picking up his cheeseburger and stuffing his face. I read her name tag which read, Mandy. As she walked away I started dipping my chicken in the sauce that she gave us.

"This is so good."

Seth said throwing his head up moaning.

"Seth!"
