Chapter 12

Misty's POV

"You're not staying?"

I asked him disappointedly. But he shook his head. He slowly leaned down and kissed my forehead.

"The boys and i have recording at 6 tomorrow. We could still go out and get brunch?"

He gave me a crooked smile.

"Yes of course."

I smiled back and gave him one last hug before he left for the night. I was still wearing the dress and necklace as he left the room. I walked in front of the bathroom mirror staring at my reflection once again wondering why Calum even loved me.

I wasn't a perfect girl and I knew that for sure. I was an average girl with some acne and a huge amount of insecurities. I wasn't very skinny and I wasn't very tall. I have plenty of flaws I could list but I didn't want to make myself depressed at this moment.

I realized that even if I have these flaws, Calum could see through me and see the 'beautiful' inside of me. I smiled at myself one last time before unzipping the dress and slipping into the warm shower waiting for me.

As I walked out of the shower dressed and all brushed up, i heard my phone buzzing on the bed. I picked it up and saw that Calum was calling me. My heart skipped a beat as I picked up.

"Hey Calum!"

I bit my hand from smiling too much because of the butterflies.

"Hello Misty!"

His deep accent emphasizing the 'hello'

"Were you about to sleep? Because if you were I could go."

"No no! of course you weren't! I just showered that's all."

"Ah I see."

I could feel Calum smirking through the phone. There was a slight awkward silence that engulfed the room.

"Thank you."

I finally told him. I heard him chuckle on the other side of the line.

"For what?"

"You know. For everything you've done for me including tonight."

"You don't have to thank me for that you know."

I shook my head walking over to the light switch.

"Yes I do actually."

I giggled opening the sheets and sliding in.

"Are you going to sleep now?"

I could hear a rustling of blankets on Calum's side of the phone.

"No just sliding into my bed that's all."

"Oh I see."

"It's pretty cold in here since you're not here."

I knew immediately that he was pouting straight through the phone.

"Yeah it's cold here too you know."

I sighed and turned over to adjust my phone.

"Did you enjoy the song I played for you today?"

I nodded but realized he couldn't see me nod. I blushed at my stupidity and replied quickly.

"It was absolutely perfect Calum."

"Good. That's good to hear."

I heard him chuckle again.

"You know we're going to recording tomorrow to record some songs including the song I played for you last night."
