Chapter 25

Calum's POV

I decided that I should tell Misty today. So she wouldn't be as mad as she will be. It took me a while to decide if I should tell her now or on the day we leave. But Luke told me that it would be better if I told her sooner to prepare her.

I took my phone out and texted her. it was 3:30. She was probably still working so I didn't bother to wait for her response. I went out of my room to make myself some lunch.

"Hey Cal."

Mikey said as he ate his sandwich.

"Hey."

I went over to the pantry and grabbed the last Vegemite jar that we had and bread.

"Where were you yesterday?"

I opened the plastic that held the sliced bread together.

"I went to Mona's."

I said taking two slices and placing them in a toaster pushing the lever down for It to 'toast'.

"Wait you went to Mona's house?"

Michael stopped standing right in front of me. I didn't look up as I opened the jar of vegemite. I just nodded and turned around to grab the toasted slices of bread.

"What were you doing there?"

He took the jar of Vegemite away placing it on the table behind him making me look at him.

"Hey!"

I whined as he took the cap as well.

"What were you doing there?"

Mikey crossed his arms leaning on the chair behind him.

"I was comforting her."

I crossed my arms as well mirroring his image.

"Why?"

I groaned not wanting to describe the whole story again.

"Calum please tell me"

I sighed and led him to the couch sitting down.

After telling him the whole story, he had the same reaction as Luke. I wondered if this was the reaction I was going to get from Misty as well.

"Well you better tell her now before it's too late."

Michael stood up and walked back into the kitchen. I stuck my hand in my pocket taking my phone out to call her.

After 7 rings it went to voicemail. She was probably still working. I checked the time. It was 5:30. I wonder why she was still working. I went back into the kitchen to continue making my late sandwich.

I decided to sit and eat while waiting so I took my plate to the couch and turned on the tv. I ended up scrolling through twitter instead of watching tv. I had a whole bunch of notifications but I only checked them a couple times since there were too many.

As I scrolled through there was a a picture captioned

'Calum please look at this!"

I pressed on the link that loaded the picture. There were multiple pictures. I was about to exit out of the picture until I saw Misty in her car.

I zoomed in to see her. She was blocking her face. There was another person in the car with her. I tried zooming in as far as I could but
I could only go so far. I scrolled to the next picture and it was clearer.

It was of Misty.

She was standing by an old brick building with the guy. what was she doing there with him? And who is he?
