Hospital

I looked at him in shock. Did he just ask for a paternity test on my daughter? I know that aint what he just said to me almost an hour after I just gave birth! If it is, I'm pretty sure I'm going to jail!

Dontae: wh-what? What did you just ask me? 

Derick: for a DNA test. I didn't mean to blurt it out like that but one look at her and I can see she isn't mine 

August: how do you know that? She doesn't have looks yet! She's all puffy and pink! 

Derick: everyone in my family comes out with almost no hair and a lot darker. She's light with a full head of curly hair 

Dontae: and you can tell, just like that, that she isn't yours? 

Derick: pretty much 

August: unbelievable. Yo you a punk ass bitch for that! 

Dontae: august the kids 

August: cover your ears you guys 

Kids: *covers ears* 

August: you that scared to be a dad that you would pull some shit like this at a TIME like this?! You a pussy ass bitch for that! 

Dontae: august! 

August: no, I don't even wanna hear nothing about how I'm speaking reckless! He aint a man for that! 

Derick: well I know what I know. Besides, she looks just like your kids and they look like you august. Can you explain how "my daughter" would come out looking like your baby daddy? 

Dontae: I really can't 

Derick: did you cheat on me? 

Dontae:......*looks down* 

Derick: so it very well, could be august baby. Am I correct? 

August: we didn't have sex until after y'all did. She was actually already pregnant when we did 

Derick: well, if she cheated then, she was cheating before then 

Dontae: derick! 

Derick: I'm sorry but..... 

Dontae: you know what, I don't give two fucks about your sorry. Look, lests do the test already so he can get out of my room and out of our lives 

Derick: see, you know it aint mine or else you would have tried to set up some visitation or something! 

Dontae: no matter what the results say, you aint coming anywhere near my kids! You're a piece of shit derick! Fuck you!

When the doctor came in, I asked him to test my daughter and derick to see if he was the father. He took their DNA and escorted derick out of my room at my request. He told me that the results would be in at any time so we all had to wait. Not like I was going anywhere only hours after birth. 

About an hour later I looked over to my kids to find them all asleep in the bed next to mine. I laughed at them because they literally piled into that bed almost one on top of another. August must have thought I was asleep because he was talking to the baby about the family she was born into.

August: hey beautiful. I'm daddy ok. I'll never leave you, I'll never treat you like you're my step daughter cuz you aint. You my baby girl just like your big sister akai. You got two crazy big brothers that love you so much and a mommy and daddy that love you too *kisses her* I love you so much ok
