August P.O.V 

Dontae's house

I slowly walked up to the door and went to knock. I stopped myself and breathed in and out before actually knocking. Every second felt like an eternity of waiting for the door to open.

Kaydun: **opens door* hey august 

August: *walks in* did you know too? 

Kaydun: *closes door* come in 

August: did you? 

Kaydun: yeah. As soon as she told me she was pregnant 

August: why?  

Kaydun: we......haven't had sex yet 

August: WHAT?! You been together almost a year! 

Kaydun: and she hasn't been ready. I respect her enough to wait until she wanna have sex. Look, why is this your problem?! 

August: yo, it aint! Where my kid at? 

Kaydun: in her room, obviously

I glared at him before making my way to dontae's room. My heart pounded the closer I got to her room. When I opened the door, I saw a bassinet on each side of her bed while she was holding a beautiful little girl in her arms. I smiled as I put the bag of things down and walked over to her.

August: a girl? *holds her* oh man she look like you tae *sits* 

Dontae: *gets up* I know but *picks up akari* he looks just like you 

August: he wh....*turns around* the fuck?! 

Dontae: yeah that's what I sort of didn't tell you. *sits* I kinda had twins 

August: that's a piece of information you could have let me in on from jump. Well, that AND the fact that their mine. 

Dontae: well you know about them now 

August: what are their names? 

Dontae: your holding akai and I got akari 

August: 'A' names? Ok ok 

Dontae: I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I just thought.......... 

August: I doesn't matter anymore. I'm here now and that's all that matters 

Dontae: what about when you go on tour? I won't let you in their lives if all you finna do is up and leave. If you finna be daddy, you gotta prioritize. Birthdays, holidays, first day of school, you gotta be there. 

August: I won't miss any of that tae 

Dontae: you say that now but tour dates may fall on some of those days. Then you would need to figure out what's more important 

August: well what's more important? Making money to buy their clothes or watching their first haircut? 

Dontae: they don't need Jordan's or true religion jeans august! They need a daddy that's finna tuck them in, chase the monsters away, read them stories, kiss the boo boos! They need you august, and if you can't do it then leave now 

August: so you'd rather be a single parent than have me in their life? 

Kaydun: *walks in* nah bruh, I'm here and I aint going nowhere  

August: yo, nobody talking to you! This is between me and the mother of my kids! 

Dontae: ok that's enough 

Kaydun: I've been here through it all my nigga! Where the fuck was you at?! I went through the cravings, the hormones, the birth! You aint done shit!
