Chapter 2

HARRY

      Wow, it’s late. Already midnight? Mom is going to kill me. But I’m already out. I guess I’ll have fun while I’m here. There’s so many people here! They all go to Trinity? I doubt it.

*SMACK*

“Hey Harry! Get your head out of your ass and let’s go find the drugs!”

Sometimes I really can’t stand Tyler Okonma. He’s my best friend, but he really needs to grow up. I know he’s kidding about the drugs. He has asthma. I wouldn’t mind something to take the edge off though. I’m really not good at social events like this.

“Guys, I’ll meet up with you later. Time for me to go make my grand entrance!” Liam, my other close friend says with an evil smile spread across his face.

That can’t mean anything good. Liam Payne is a nice guy once you really get to know him. He’s the most popular guy in the academy. There’s not a girl on campus who doesn’t wish she was Liam Payne’s girlfriend.

“Yeah I’m going with Liam! This should be fun.” Syd chimes in.

Syd Bennett is always helping Liam act reckless. It’s nice to at least have them around so I won’t be here alone.

“Dude, let’s go get wasted! I don’t want to be sober all night!” Tyler screams into my ear.

“Sounds good to me.”

“Look who’s here. Zayn Malik and his crew. That’s exactly who Liam is going after tonight. You know how much they hate each other.

“Yeah tonight is going to be interesting.” I say with a grin.

Liam and Zayn have hated each other for as long as anyone can remember. They are always in competition with each other. They are on the same lacrosse team but act like they are against each other. I’m surprised the coach lets it go on.

Wait. Where did Tyler go? Great. The jackass ditched me already. Whatever. I have to pee. If I ever find the restroom in this place. It’s like a circus.

“Hey Harry! How was your summer?”

“Oh hey. It was great.”

“That’s fantastic! Nice seeing you again!”

“You too!”

Who the hell was that? I haven’t really spoken to anyone since last school year.

Finally, the restroom. Holy shit! It’s packed in here. Great, looks like I’m going to be here for a while. What a waste of a night.

TYLER

      “CHUG! CHUG! CHUG! CHUG! Yo you better not stop! You got this!”

These white boys are crazy. I could never survive a keg stand. I feel bad for ditching Harry, but I am trying to have fun tonight, unlike him. He’ll be okay.

“Hey, have any of you seen Harry Styles!?” I randomly blurt out.

“Yeah I think I saw him walk into the bathroom. Probably going to hit a blunt or something.” An unidentified voice says from somewhere.

Good, he’s okay. He can find me if he needs me. Time to get wasted!

ZAYN

      “Babe, do you see who’s here? Liam Payne. Great, just what I need to ruin my night. That arrogant jerk and his posse.”

“You know, it’s a new year. You two should just kiss and make up.” Frank says with a playful laugh.

“Shut up! You know the only man I’m kissing is you!”

“You better be or I’ll kill you.”

He plants a giant kiss right on me. I swear when he kisses me, it’s like nothing else matters. He really is perfect. With his big brown eyes, and that smile! God, I really am going to marry that boy.

“Have you seen Louis or Niall around? They disappeared a while ago.”

“No, leave them alone. They are probably off finding some girls to hook up with!”

He was probably right. Louis Tomlinson always has a new girlfriend. I’m not sure why, but the girls love him. Niall Horan has always been shy, because he’s new. Although, tonight is the night of many opportunities. Oh great, Liam is on his way over here. Without his followers? How strange.

“Hey pretty boy!” Liam screeches from across the room. “You didn’t think I wouldn’t come say hello to my best lad before the night is over with did you?”

“Fuck off Liam. I didn’t know this party allowed trailer trash in.”

“Excuse me! You don’t speak to your captain like that!”

“You’re only captain because you slept with Coach Maverick’s daughter! Shut the hell up. I’m just as good as you are and everyone knows it!”

“Oooooh!” coos the crowd of people that has suddenly gathered around us.

“You wish.” Liam scoffs, walking away defeated.

He swears he is better than me. I shouldn’t let him ruin my night, but he just gets under my skin. I can hear him muttering under his breath. I need to find Louis. Oh how he would love this!

LIAM

      “I can’t stand him! Who does he think he is? I’m obviously better than him in every way! Right?”

“Of course Liam! Don’t let him ruin your night. Let it go. Let’s go find some girls.” Syd, my very best friend says to me.

She’s right, I should just calm down. Zayn will get his when school starts and he has to take orders from me again. Annoying little prick. I can’t help but feel like this night is ruined.

“Yo, you good bro?”

“Yeah, I’m okay. I just need to get my mind off that. You know, I should really go kick his ass for disrespecting me like that!”

“No! Let it go!” Syd grabs my cheeks and gives me a stern look. “Why do you want to cause drama the last night of summer break? Please can we just have fun?”

“Okay...” I say, with a troubled look on my face. I just have a soft spot for Syd. She always gets the better side of me. I used to have a crush on her, even though she is a lesbian. She’s still so cool and so perfect for me. No, I need to stop. I wonder where Harry and Tyler are. We need to find them and get the hell out of here as soon as we can. This is lame.
