Caught

Chapter 25

HARRY

            Today was awful and I wish I would have never woken up.

“Harry, do we need anything else from the market before we leave?” My mom asks me as we are walking to the checkout isle.

I hate being away from Louis, but he said he needed time alone.

“No, I think we got everything.” I say.

I’m worried about Louis.

Sometimes, I wish we would have never met just so he didn’t have to go through this pain, I feel like I’m the one that caused it to begin with.

We walk to the car and load up all the groceries.

“Honey, everything is going to be okay, you have to trust that everything is going to work out for itself.”

I look at my mom.

“You don’t understand, Louis is miserable.” I say, sighing.

“Why don’t you two go out tonight? You can go on a date, eat at a nice place, and maybe see a movie. How does that sound?” My mom says.

That does sound nice.

A smile finds its way to my face and I start to plan a romantic evening for Louis and I on the way home.

 

            I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself when I rush through the house and up the stairs to my room to tell Louis the news about our date, he is going to be so happy.

I fly up the stairs and burst into my room only to find Louis in my bed, asleep.

Of course.

“Louis. Get up!” I shout, walking over to the bed.

He won’t get up.

I jump on the bed next to him and try to shake him awake.

His body is cold and limp.

What’s going on?

“Louis! Get up right now!” I say, shaking him.

He’s not moving.

I roll him on his back and look at his face.

The color is drained from his face.

Oh god. Louis.

“Louis no!” I say, starting to cry.

I hear footsteps running up the stairs, it’s my mother.

“Harry what happened?” She yells

I burst into tears as I shake Louis’ cold body.

My mom sees what’s happening and immediately calls the police as she runs downstairs.

I can hear her panicked voice screaming into the phone.

I put my head to Louis’ chest in attempt to see if he is still alive.

I don’t feel anything, just his lifeless body pressed up against my skin.

Louis is gone.

“Louis! Please wake up!” I scream. “Please get up Louis, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry Lou.”
