It's hard being brave
when you're alone in the dark •Me and Jack both crashed in my bed after we got home, cuddling each other to sleep. When I opened my eyes, he was already looking at me, up and ready for the day to begin. We planned all kinds of things for today but I had a slight feeling that we'll spend the afternoon in bed, watching movies.
I was exactly where I wanted to be, so I wasn't complaining."Trying to pull that Twilight shit on me?" I mumbled. He just chuckled and grinned.
"I might be, because... I like watching you sleep, it's kind of fascinating to me." He replied. I burst out laughing.
"Did you just quote Edward Cullen? Oh my god!" I said.
"What, can't a guy have some guilty pleasure?" He playfully defended himself.
"Oh, no! Go ahead, it's just funny. We're definitely watching it tonight." I chuckled.
"Bring it! I'm always up for the Twilight saga." He said, pointing his finger at me, poking my nose. Then he leaned in, almost pressing a soft kiss on my lips when his cellphone rang.
"Ah, who the hell is calling this early?" He said, quickly pecked my lips and reached to the nightstand, grabbing his cell. It said Mom. He answered.
"Yeah? Hey mom." He said. I pulled the duvet over my head, trying to break this snooze fest because ever since me and Jack started this whatever this is, I've been so lazy!
"Lunch? Sure. Alex and I are gonna grab some lunch after class... yeah, at around 3. That will do. Alright, see you then." He said and after saying bye, he hung up.
"What was that?" I asked, lifting myself up.
"My mom's gonna drop by for lunch, no big deal." He said like it was nothing. It was a very big deal for me, huge.
"As in - we're having lunch with your mom?" I ask again.
"Yeah, it's cool. Just act normal." He said.
"Yeah, I wasn't planning on giving you a lap dance, but it sure is a big deal." I sighed, being just a little nervous, because I know his parents wouldn't approve of me. They don't even know me, but I'm gonna have to pretend I'm straight, which I haven't done in a long time. Anything to keep Jack out of trouble.
"Ooh, a lap dance, what a great idea for tonight." He winked at me and I raised my eyebrow and gave him that look. "Jokes aside, my mom is fine, we won't say anything about us, don't be nervous. We're roommates, friends and having lunch with her. Okay?"
I nodded and pulled him in a hug. God I liked holding him in my arms.
"So, I'll meet you after class?" I checked.
"Yes. Now before you go... I want to try something, be very still." He said and slowly leaned in, pressing his lips on mine. I couldn't contain myself, I started laughing.
"Wow, you sure are a piece of work!" I said. "Tonight, my lion." I teased him.
"So the lion fell in love with the lamb." He poetically recited, throwing himself on my bed, with his arms stuck out to me. I was already getting dressed, standing next to the bed.
