Don't forget we've got unfinished business, stories yet to unfold,
tales that must be retold •

"So what did he say?" Jack asked. We were sitting at a local café, having coffee and some pastries. I was so down for a double glazed donut, or three.

"That he needed to take a few days off, I mean I was happy to see him open that door but in that moment my hand started twitching, I swear." I was happily munching on my donut.

"I agree, he could've at least texted or something. It's not really that hard." He said after taking a sip of his extra large latte. "Was he at least happy to see you?"

"I don't know, it was weird. I think his mom's been smothering him a bit too much." I shared my observations.

"Well, I'm glad it's over and that he's okay. I just wish this Andie shit would be over as well. I'm getting pretty sick of everything." He complained. I was in it with him and way over all the bullshit. All I wanted to do was focus on studying and passing my exams, be and live with Jack. I don't know why it's so hard for everyone to just get along.

"You took the words right out of my mouth." I said.

After we found Josh, I stayed at his aunt's for a little while and then I called Jack to come pick me up. I was over their family drama and it wasn't really my place. I told Josh I'll call him after I resolve all my issues, I didn't dive into details though. Jack gave his statement to the police, at least what he remembered from that night and they questioned Andie. She remembered being at the party and running into Jack, giving him champagne, but she claimed that it wasn't laced with drugs. She said she doesn't take drugs which was confirmed with a blood test. Lisa and I asked around the campus and found that guy. He said he sold Andie two Rohypnol pills but wouldn't give his statement which was expected; so we had to dig deeper. I asked Kyle if anyone had any videos from that night... anything; snapchats, insta stories, whatever could help us. He said he'll ask around and call me if he finds anything. I was hoping we'd get lucky.

"By the way... dad told me to ask you, would you like to come by for lunch to our house this weekend?" Jack asked me. We were spending the rest of our winter break in the room; our bat cave. Watching movies and eating junk food was our daily routine since I got Jack back from the hospital. I was spoiling him rotten, he deserved nothing less. That included multiple orgasms we gave each other; Very much deserved.
I talked to mom, updated her on what's been going on and I had lunch with Jack's family.
It was so weird; his father wanted to know more about me, kept asking me questions and smiling a little too much. But it was no time to be picky; after all, all I ever wanted was for Jack's dad to like me so we can be together in peace.
My dad came by the dorm the other day, he wanted to surprise me and Jack and take us out. We went shopping and had dinner. It's gonna take a long time for me to forgive him, I don't think things will ever be the way they were supposed to be, but I can say we were slowly getting to the point where I didn't roll my eyes when I saw his name when my cell rang.
Josh called me and apologized for disappearing on us, said he needed some time to work things out with his mom and that I should give him a call when I get my things in order as well. I promised to do so.

It was a cloudy Thursday afternoon, a gentle breeze was blowing, playing with Lisa's hair. She removed a strand of it from her face and grinned. We were sitting at the local bar, sipping mojitos.

"Any news from Kyle?" She asked, sucking on her straw.

"Not yet. Hopefully he'll call soon. I'm getting a bit impatient." I said.

"A bit? I could cut the tension in my head with a knife." She giggled. "But listen... while we're waiting, I have an idea."

"I'm listening." I gave her my full attention.

"What if I went and talked to her? Say that we fooled around and how you guys are over. I could record everything with my phone." She suggested. It was actually a pretty good idea, if Andie falls for it of course.

"Are you sure?" I asked and she nodded. "I guess we could give it a try... You think she'll buy it?" I asked.

"Don't worry, she ain't the only one who can pull shit off. I'll take care of it." She winked at me. I grinned and hoped for the best. I desperately needed it to work out; for Jack and his family, for me and everyone else involved.

Days passed by, or should I say dragged. I was waiting for any kind of information from Lisa and Kyle, but I got nothing. I was trying not to lose hope and focus on Jack and studying but I have to admit, I was a nervous wreck inside. Thankfully, Jack never noticed anything.
After a week of living like a guitar string that's about to tear, Kyle called me and sent all the pictures and videos from new years he could get. There was nothing on them, just Andie and Jack making out. I almost puked while I was looking through them.
It was all up to Lisa. I needed her more than ever.

"Oh, yeah, like that... don't stop." I begged him. The pleasure he gave me always made me lose myself in this higher state of mind, I craved more every time.

"Cum, baby... cum for me." He groaned and kept on going. After I came all over his hand, he came in me. Just another hazy night filled with sex; and I never complained.

Jack threw himself next to me. He reached for the tissues, still slightly panting. "What?" He looked at me, frowning but with a grin on his face. Adorable.

"Nothing." I chuckled, ruffling his hair gently.

"You're giving me that look again." He said, smiling.

"I always look at you like that." I defended myself.

"Hmm, must be love I guess." He chuckled back and pressed a kiss on my lips.

"Must be." I winked and jumped out of bed, pulling up my sweats. "I'm just gonna get cleaned up, be back in a sec."

"Round two in 30?" He winked at me and I just rolled my eyes, mouth still widened in the biggest smile ever.

"Times two and I'm up for it." I said and closed the door. I practically ran to the bathroom, washed my face, cleaned and freshened up, then I returned to the room.

Jack was sitting on the bed, talking to someone on my cell.
"It's Lisa." He mouthed. After a few seconds he handed me the phone.
"Sure, thanks Lis. See you soon." He said.

"Yeah, Lisa?" I answered. "Hey."

"I got something you might find interesting." She said. My heart skipped a beat and I stopped breathing for a few seconds there.

"Is it what we're looking for?" I anxiously asked.

"And more. Jack asked me to come over, I'll see you in 10." She said.

"Great, see ya." I replied and ended the call.

I was never much of a religious person, I don't believe in god, but I think that was the first time I actually prayed for this all to be over. I wanted nothing more but to nail Andie and we were so close. So god damn close.
