"Are you absolutely positive these are fake?" Mrs. Barakat asked Jack as we were sitting in our room. She came over straight from work after he told her about the package we received last night.

"Mom, please, I've never talked to her like that... and I NEVER hit her or hurt her in any other way. I'm telling you." He was reasonably upset and I worried about him. But I already decided I'm taking that bitch down and she won't walk away without any consequences.

"I'm sorry, I'm just checking. That doesn't mean I'm accusing you of anything but we have to make sure." She said. "Do you have any reasons to believe she'd hurt you like this?"

"Umm, yes... hello? I dumped her and two days later she saw me feeding and kissing Alex at some restaurant. You know what she's like, her way or no way at all. How was I supposed to know she'd go all psycho on me?" He muttered.

"Look, she never liked me, I could tell when we met." I said and took a seat next to Jack. "Now how do we deal with this?" I was hoping Jack's mother would have better ideas than bashing Andie's trashy face.

"Well, we could go the legal way but I suggest trying to make some sort of a private agreement before we involve any other people." She advised.

"Yeah, I agree with her." I said to Jack. "Maybe you could call her, invite her over and we try to work something out. What do you think?"

He kept glancing from me to her, then sighed. "I would much rather beat her ass so she actually had something to accuse me of, but I guess I'll go with inviting her over." He added. "I'll text her. Stay here please?"

He was referring to both of us and I wouldn't even think of leaving them alone.

"Oh, no question, I'll be here." She ensured, taking Jack by the hand. "Don't you worry, we'll take care of this."

It's been 20 minutes since Andie was supposed to be here and Jack was losing patience.

"Don't." I said to him when I saw he was about to shout again. "Be calm no matter what, pretend she can't get to you, don't show weakness."

"Alex is right, do not lose it." She warned him. I know it's easier said than done, I'd be all over the place too, if it happened to me.

Then she banged on the door. Jack took a deep breath and went to let her in. She was standing there all smiles but it quickly changed when she saw his mother and me.

"Oh, you have company." She said and stepped in.

"Hi, Mrs. Barakat, how are you?" She pretended nothing happened but Jack's mom faked a nice smile instead of yelling at her.

"I'm great honey, have a seat." She continued. Andie's face was dead serious and I sensed some fear since she completely ignored me.

"So, care to explain this?" Jack said and threw that box on the table right in front of her. She became even more nervous, her gaze shifting from one person to another in the room.
