That one moment.
That pause.
Scott takes a moment to think. Fuck it, to comprehend.
How did he get here?
The beat drops, and he focuses all his nervous energy in the hurriedly prepared choreo. It's simple enough for him to handle, but this performance means so much to him that he can't afford a careless stumble.
He risks a glance over to Mitch, who's already having the time of his life.
He grins. He can't help it. This is what his heart beats for. Working hard for something, and being able to share it with the world.
And, there's no one he'd rather share it with.

Guys, I cried this morning watching the performance.
I'm super emotional, but super proud. Scott Hoying is my everything and I love him and weep over his success.
Oh, Mitchy, too, of course.
