Joe's pov

"You there, get her location. And you, find out where was her last stop. Oh and you, don't forget to key in the correct code this time." I proudly held my head high and stridded along the office hallway, everyone was at work. The U.G. building was three floors high and certain areas maintained certain aspects. The hallway I was in, was in charge of coding and other computer stuff. As I walked around the office, I gave orders to everyone.

I'm not the boss but I did request this assignment so I'm put mostly in charge for it. There has to be a way to get into that tracking device. The only thing I'm really curious about is why it's there in the first place. There's a location setting in phones but for her to get another? That's extremely suspicious.

Maybe she already knows about the stalker. But if she did, why hasn't she told me? I start to get frustrated and decide to get out of this hallway for now. As I'm walking back, a door abruptly opens and I turn around.

"Joe! What the hell do you think you're doing? Did you think you wouldn't be caught?!" Dan starts walking towards me quickly and grabs me by my collar.

"What the fuck Dan, let go of me! What are you even doing here?! I have no idea what you're even talking about! Get caught doing what?" I don't even know what he's talking about. Actually, how did he even find me!?

"You know exactly what I mean! You're tracking Vanessa and you're hacking into her stuff without her permission. Don't you trust her?" Dan spat at me as Phil walked over, sighing loudly and pulling something up on his phone.

"Look Joe, this shows your exact location right now. And this here, shows that a computer from this location tried hacking into Vanessa's phone." Phil calmly explained to me, he seemed much more serious. Maybe even a bit bored.

"How do you guys know all this? Where did you get this information? Vanessa couldn't possibly tell you guys any of this!" I struggled to make Dan let go of me but he wouldn't budge and his height made him look more intimidating than before.

"You don't need to know how or where. Vanessa only requested for us to not let you get involved but you got yourself into this!" Dan growled at me and his knuckles were turning white from the grip he had on me.

"Requested? What did you get Vanessa into!?" I don't think she would ever willingly get herself into trouble with this. They must've done something.

Dan let go of me and whispered something to Phil. Phil nodded and quickly walked out of the building through the back door. I turned back to Dan who was glaring at me. "You don't need to know what Vanessa is doing or where she is. We have this under control. You're just making things worse."

"What am I making worse? Oh wait I get it, you obviously put that tracker in her phone. No wonder we can't get enough access. Now what I want to know is, why you put it there in the first place." My tone was beginning to get snarky and Dan seemed shocked for a while but quickly composed himself and lowered his gaze to look at me.

"There's no reason for you to know. She doesn't want anyone knowing why, unless she gives us permission. As far as we know, we're the only ones who know all her dirty secrets." He smirked and crossed his arms but that wasn't going to work on me.

"You may know what's going on with that other stalker but you don't know everything about her. I just need to figure out why you guys are even doing this." I could feel a smile forming on my face as Dan glanced out the window to where Phil was standing. He was talking to someone on the phone and he seemed rushed.

"Look Joe, I don't care about your little lovey dovey stuff. This is much more serious than that, Vanessa trusted you and now you're showing that you obviously can't trust her." Dan shoved my shoulders and I was about to punch him but I stopped. Vanessa would get even more upset if she knew we got into a fight.

I sighed and turned away from Dan. "I was worried about her stalker, that's all. I didn't know you guys would go this far."

"You don't know what you got yourself into mate. Vanessa needs to be protected from that guy. All you need to do is get your information out of the device so he doesn't find out who you are." He explained to me as Phil walked back into the building. The phone was still close to his ear and he looked worried, almost scared.

Phil sighed as he looked at me. "Alright, here he is."

He handed the phone to me and I took slowly, I had no idea who he was talking to. I said hello quietly and heard her voice.

She sighed and I thought I could hear small whimpers. I knew she was getting close to crying and I immediately wanted to hug her. But I couldn't. And I hated it.

"Joe, I think we both need some explaining to do."
