Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe. That's all that has been going through my mind.

Ever since last night, this morning when David woke me up, when I took a shower for the first time in a long time, when I brushed my hair, when I ate breakfast. Even right now as I set my fork down and look over at David. He's sitting in the same spot on the bed, staring at me.

Is it possible to go insane when all I can think about is the one thing that should be keeping me sane? Probably.

I'm getting skinnier, I've been noticing my bones showing under my skin. Normally I would be happy losing weight, but not like this. Not when I'm kidnapped or being fed only when it is 'necessary'.

I can't deal with this anymore, what's going to happen to me?

"Well, I'm going to go out. You can stay here and relax or I can just-"

"Wait. Where are you going? Why do you always leave me trapped in here alone?" I'm starting to think sucking up to David might help gain me some freedom.

"Needy, aren't we? I like it, don't worry I'll be back." David smiled contently and flashed me a wink.

"No you won't, you take hours to come back." I huffed and crossed my leg over the other as I sat on the chair.

David walked closer to me, he was slowly becoming intrigued. "If you want, I'll make it up to you. How's that sound?"

I looked up at the ceiling, pretending to think. I bit my lip as I looked back at him and glanced at his lips. "Okay. Depends on what it is though." I smiled and leaned forward.

"That's a surprise, alright? You'll have to wait. Even as much as I'd hate to leave you like this." He put his thumb under my chin and raised my head, his face slowly inching towards me.

As soon as his lips were about to touch mine, I swiftly stood up and walked over to the bed. "Alright, I guess I'll just wait for you here. Bored. It'd be nice if I had some sort of entertainment."

David shifted his weight and glanced at the bedroom door. "Fine, I guess I can let you out. As long as you don't go snooping around. Like I said, there are men out there waiting for whatever happens."

I nodded and jumped off the bed as David opened the door. The hallway light shined through and I blinked a couple of times to get used to it. I stepped out onto the hardwood floor that led to a cozy living space.

There was a couch, tv, bookshelf, and even a small fireplace. I thought I would be disappointed but it was actually quite neat and tidy. The house was only one floor and another hallway led to the kitchen and dining area. It wasn't a bad house at all.

"This place is cute. I thought it would look different." I said as I ran my hand along the bookshelf, scanning through the books.

"This is yours as long as you don't-"

"Go snooping around, I know. I'll miss you though." I pouted and batted my eyes as he waved goodbye, shutting the door softly behind him.

I sighed and slumped onto the couch. He said no looking around but I really want to. Maybe I can find my way out of here or find a way to communicate to Dan, Phil, and Joe.

I got up and slowly walked around the house, looking for anything out of the ordinary. There was a door near the kitchen. I turned the knob but it was locked. Maybe there's something to pick the lock.

As I was looking around the kitchen, I spotted a small hair pin. I straightened it out and began messing with the lock. I heard a small click and turned the doorknob once more. The door opened and I cautiously peered through the small crack.

It was a staircase that led to who knows where. I flicked on the light switch and slowly made my way down the steps.

As I reached the bottom, another locked door appeared. Luckily, I still had the pin with me and I easily unlocked it.

Inside was a small office with two desks. I quickly walked to the desks, hoping there was some sort of electronic device. I would have thought there'd be a computer or laptop on one of the desks but there was nothing. Just piles of paper and envelopes.

I opened the drawers and more papers appeared within them. I moved to the other desk and one drawer was locked. Why is everything locked in here?

I picked the lock. I could not believe what I had found. It was a phone, it had almost no charge left on it. I unlocked it, there was no passcode on it. I chuckled happily and began dialing Joe's number in a hurry.

The phone rung for a while, probably because he didn't know the number but he finally picked up and I wanted to cry when I heard his voice.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"Joe! Joe, it's me Vanessa! Oh thank goodness you answered." I wanted to cry and tell him how much I missed him but there was no time. This phone could die at any minute now.

"Vanessa! Where the fuck are you!? Are you okay? Where's David?" Joe immediately started asking questions but I barely knew the answers for them.

"I don't know Joe, just listen. Share this number to Dan and Phil, they'll know how to track the phone. I don't have much time." I hurriedly spoke to Joe, hoping he understood everything I said.

"Okay, I'll make sure I do it. First of all, are you okay? Are you hurt?" Of course Joe was worried about me but I had no time for this.

I heard a door open and I knew I was in trouble now. "Joe I think someone just came in, I have to leave. Don't worry I'll be fine." I whispered to Joe as the footsteps kept getting closer to the door.

"Wait, don't hang up. I need to make sure nothing happens to you, just hide the phone."

I did as Joe said and hid it somewhere else so no one could find it and destroy it. "I love you and remember, I promise." Joe said as the footsteps reached the bottom of the staircase.

"What are you doing down here? Didn't David tell you not to-"

"Go snooping around, yeah he did. What's your point? There's nothing down here anyway." I rolled my eyes even though I was frightened of the tall man standing in front of me. He looked muscular and very unhappy.

"You really shouldn't have come down here little girl." He slowly started walking towards me as I backed up with each step he took. My back hit the wall and I knew this was probably the end for me.

He swung his fist at me but I yelped and quickly moved my head. I ran and screamed as he tried to grab me. He caught my arm and pushed me to the floor.

"Get off me! Leave me the fuck alone!" I tried pulling his arm off of me but of course he was way stronger than me.

His other hand swung at me again and I felt a sharp pain on the side of my head. My eyelids became heavy and soon enough I blacked out.

The last thing I saw was the ring Joe gave me, reminding me to hold onto our promise.
