James but with black hair^
"Alice, I'm here what do you need my help with?" I announce as I enter our chambers and find her waiting on my bed and it appeared she had been asleep before I had yelled out. "I'm not sure how much help I'll be but I'll try."
"I fear the Nargles have stolen my shoes again, they did it at home all the time," Alice rambles jumping up once she heard me enter the room her blond hair disheveled but she didn't seem to care.
"The Nar-what?" I ask entirely clueless as to what she was talking about. What were Nargles?
"Nargles, my mom has told me about them since I was little. Though they weren't really the ones who bothered her when she went here she knows they exist because she's seen one," She continues explaining as I just nod my head pretending to know what she was talking about.
"So' you need my help finding your shoes?" I ask trying to clarify what exactly she wanted me to do and if it was just finding her shoes, how hard could it be? She nods her head enthusiastically. "Okay, lets go."
After an hour of searching together we still haven't found anything so we decide to split up. "Okay, you go to the left and I'll go to the right," I suggest as we come to a crossroads trying to cover more ground. She nods and disappears quickly down the passage as I turn and go my own way. I mean I know this place better than I did when I first got here but I still sometimes get lost. I look closely at the ground using the last bit of daylight to search for her shoes and I didn't see where I was going. I ran into someone and fell on my bum though it didn't hurt too much.
"Are you okay?" I look up to see a boy with messy, black hair that came down to the bottom his ears, with tanned skin that stood out under the light through the windows and dark brown eyes I could barely differentiate from the darkness.
"Yeah I'm fine just a little bruised is all," I say as he reaches his hand down to help me up which I except thankfully. "Thanks."
"No problem I'm James by the way, but what are you doing it's almost curfew," He asks looking around as if teachers were just going to pop out of no where and catch us but with their magic I guess they could do just about anything.
"I'm Serena and I could ask you the same thing," I contradict feeling very confident which has been not as rare a moment for me than it was before I had come to Hogwarts.
"I like you, your cheeky but if you must know I was coming back from detention. I set fireworks off in my potions class and caused a big ruckus," He laughed not even ashamed at causing trouble in fact he seemed very proud of himself. "Everyone found it quite amusing except for the professor."
I was going to respond though I didn't honestly know what to say, because I always tried to stay away from trouble and follow the rules, when something caught my attention behind him. "Found you," I exclaim as I rush past him after the fast moving shoe. I chase after it but it was getting too dark and I couldn't quite tell where it was anymore so I jumped forward with much faith and grabbed the shoe. I couldn't see what was on the other end but it was strong so we had a game of tug of war in the middle of the hallway. I kept pulling and pulling before someone grabbed me around the waist to help me and we eventually won sending us both flying. I ended up on top of the persons chest while I heard shuffling and knew the creature was running away.
We both broke out in laughter and I instantly recognized who it was. "Albus, what are you doing here?" I asked as I stood up on my own two feet and lent a hand to help him up as well.
"Well, I had been going to see how by brother and sister were but I came to find out he had been given detention so I was headed back to the Slytherin common room when I saw you run past," He answers as grabs my arm and leads me into a hallways with torches so we could see better. I look down at the shoe in my hand and smile in triumph that I actually found one but shiver a little that Nargles were actually real.
"Wait, by any chance is you brother James?" I ask as he is faced away from me as I'm being led in the direction of the Hufflepuff common room once again. He stops In his tracks and turns to looks at me. "Yeah, but how would you know him he's a second year."
"Oh, so that's why I haven't seen him around, he's very charming," I say laughing a little at the joke I made but look up to see Albus just staring at me.
"He can be that way with the ladies quite often," He says chuckling and insinuating that James was a total flirt that got along nicely with the ladies. I laugh as I imagine him in a crowd of girls as the fawn over him and cater to his every need.
"Anyways, thanks for helping me back there I almost lost the shoe," I comment as we start walking once again but at a slower pace this time so we could talk more.
"It's no problem but what exactly were you trying to do? And what was that thing?" Albus asks and even though it'll sound crazy I'm not just going to lie to him.
"It's called a Nargle and Alice had needed my help finding her shoes and suspected that they took it. And as you've just experienced she was right but I hope she's found the other one because I am tired and just want to sleep," I explain as we approach the entrance to the common room. "Thanks again."
"No problem, what are friends for?" He says smiling brightly to which I do the same. I give him a quick hug before putting in the passcode and heading in to find the room completely empty.
I walk into the room to find her asleep in her bed while the matching shoe to the one in my hands was sitting at the edge of her bed. I shake my head as I set it down next to her's and go to sleep myself.
