Rose^

After a few more students are called a redhead I remember seeing at the train station struts onto the stage after being called. "Rose Weasley," Professor McGonagall announces yet another Weasley. How big is this family? Are they all siblings or are they cousins? As Alice's dad sets the had on her said it gets to work trying to figure out which of these so called houses she belongs in.

"Ravenclaw," Is the hats final decision so she stands up and walks to the loudest table full of people wearing blue and bronze as someone gets up to make room for her to sit down. "Ah, Scorpius Malfoy, oh you are very different from your father but yet stiff have the qualities for a fine Slytherin." I swing my head in the direction having not heard the boy's name being announced to see a boy with platinum blond hair sitting on the stool nervously with the hat on his head. "Slytherin!"

"Albus Potter," The next boy seems to be very stiff and nervousness was radiating off of him in waves so much so I became very nervous myself. He has black hair much like the man at the train station, probably his father, unlike with the other students I look closely at his face. He has slightly tanned skin and gorgeous green eyes which are now the opposite of mine since they changed back to blue a few hours ago. He was very handsome and different from the other guys that have gone up but those thoughts disappear as more nerves set in. At this rate I'll have to go in front of all these people and probably be embarrassed to have no clue what they are talking about but I need to find out one way or another. "Oh very tricky indeed."

"Please not Slytherin, please not Slytherin," I hear him continuously whisper to himself because the entire room had gone eerily quiet waiting to find out what he is.

"Not Slytherin, ay?" The hat questions before going back into though but eventually announces, "Slytherin." To which the boy winces as the room explodes with whispers and he hangs his head walking over to the table where the Scorpius guy had sat as they all wear some type of green clothing. This still continues for a while as the crowd begins to dissipate I grow more scared of the inevitable.

"Alice Longbottom," When her name is called she all about squeals as she squeezes my arm giving me a grin and rushes into a hug with her dad. The cafeteria laughs as she sits and the had is on her head to decide her house. "Hufflepuff." He decided so quickly,I was shocked as she jumped up running to a table where people are wearing yellow and black.

The crowd is gone and I'm the only one left standing there while people just stare at me having not had my name called. I grab my ponytail and twist it repeatedly while I stare at the ground wishing it would just eat me and get me out of this situation. "What is your name dear?"

I walk forward so that I am standing in front of her while my back is to the entire cafeteria. I could feel their eyes burning into my back. "Serena Chandler," I whisper so only she could hear me and she nods her head looking down at the parchment.

"Oh dear, it seems we made a mistake you aren't on the list that's okay you can still be sorted we will fix this as soon as possible," She says leading me over to the stool as Alice's dad gives me an encouraging smile as he lifts the hat. "Serena." She tells the hat as I turn to look at the crowd and would have fell if I hadn't already been sitting down on the stool.

"Hmm" The hat starts to think as it shifts on my head making me extremely uncomfortable. "You would make a fine Gryffindor but no." He is a quiet as he continues to ponder. "You are smart for the Ravenclaws but still no. You could be an very interesting Slytherin though I believe you to be a Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff!" He announces and that table claps but this is my last chance to find out where I am.

"What does that mean? How are you talking? And where in the world am I?" I ask quietly making the whole cafeteria go quiet as I look to a shocked Professor as she stands beside me but she wasn't the only one that was shocked.

"Where you a muggle born?" Professor McGonagall ask which makes me very confused as to what she was talking about.

"What's a muggle?" I ask my face scrunching up in confusion and started to talk fast from all the nerves that where growing and multiplying. I tend to just ramble as quickly as possible when ever I am in front of a crowd or nervous in general "I really don't know where I am I was about to go to a private school and walked through a wall at the train station and couldn't get back. Though I'm not sure how that's possible. Then I'm pushed on the train by the same lady I followed through the wall then I actually make my first friend and now I'm here and extremely confused beyond belief."

"She's a muggle?" "How is that possible?" "Muggles can't be sorted that's not possible she has to bew a wizard." "She has to be joking, right?" These were things that students continuously said whenever the silence was broken by their voices. I shrank back as the hat was removed from my head and I stood up and looked around nervous. I looked around till I met Alice's eyes and black splotches began to fill my vision. This had happened only once when I had to give a speech in third grade but it's rare that I get this nervous. She calls out my name drawing everyone's attention to me and that is the last thing I remember before passing out.
