What Magic?

"Serena, slow down," Alice calls after me as I hurry down the path heading towards Hogsmeade. Everyone has been so excited about today that I couldn't help but be excited as well.

"How can I? You guys have been non-stop talking about this and I just want to get there and see what all the fuss is about," I say happily turning around to look at her but continuing to walk.

"Serena, look out," Alice yells out as I️ feel a foot trip me backward and I fall into someone else's arms. I look up to see Albus, him being the one who caught me, and looks to my right to see Scorpius laughing loudly, him being the one who tripped me. I stand up straight once again and walk over to him punching him in the arm, hard.

"Do you want me to die?" I️ yell obviously overdramatizing the situation. Then turn to Albus and give him a smile to which he returns it softly. "Thanks for catching me. If you ruin this for me, Scorpius, I️ swear."

"Okay, Okay no hitting me I don't know how much more I can take," Scorpius dramatically complains as we begin walking again. He wraps his arms around me and squeezes two I️ can't move my arms away from my side. I️ wiggle around frantically but he doesn't stop so I️ just sigh giving up.

"Hey, Albus!" Rose's voice says from behind us and I️ stiffen which doesn't go unnoticed by Scorpius. Oh boy, I wonder how this is going to go. I look over my shoulder to see Rose, Lily, and their other cousin, I don't remember her name running up to us. "Have you studied for the history test on Monday?"

"Wait, we have a history test on Monday!?!" I yell but cringe after I remember that I don't want Rose's attention on me and, while Scorpius still has me trapped, Lily's glaring eyes as well.

"Yes," Rose seethes through clenched teeth balling up her fists while not even looking at me.

"Yeah, that's what Scorpius and I were studying yesterday while you kept looking for stuff about Revis," Albus says matter of factually before I see him cringe when I began to glare at him. I had told both of them specifically not to tell anyone about my hunt for Revis. "Sorry," he whispers looking away.

"What is up with your obsession with that guy? He's just a traitor who probably died in an alley somewhere," Rose says rolling her eyes at me when I feel Scorpius loosens his hold but keeps an arm around my shoulder. "I bet you are going to fail this test and when they see how you don't belong they'll finally kick you out."

"Rose," Albus warns taking a few steps away from her so he stands next to me instead. So that now I am surrounded, Scorpius technically standing behind me, Alice standing to my right, and Albus on my left. "Choose your next words very wisely."

I see Rose's eyes flicker from Albus to me multiple times before she stops and sighs after probably seeing that this was going nowhere. "Whatever," sighs walking away with the others.

"Bye Scorpius," Lily giggles as she passes waving her handed and fluttering her eyelashes girlishly.

"Can't I just have a happy and peaceful day for once. What else could go wrong," I sigh exasperated but I had spoken too soon because the next ones on the path are Karina and Daniel. To which I turn around, throwing my hands in the air, and yelling "I'm done!" as I walk away, towards Hogsmeade.

I feel someone grab my hand and I turn to see Alice standing there smiling at me. "You deserve to be here, just like the rest of us," She comforts squeezing my hand tightly.

"Exactly," Scorpius says while once again slinging his arm around my shoulders. "Don't pay attention to her, she's probably just jealous."

"Jealous of what?" I ask have no clue as what he was talking about.

"That you have such amazing friends by your side, also probably that you have Albus's full attention and support," Scorpius says turning to Albus and wiggling his eyebrows. I follow his eyes to see Albus and notice that he is blushing which I can honestly say suits him.

"Okay, I want you to put that whole ordeal out of your mind and focus on Hogsmeade," Alice comments shaking my arm violently as if to shake the conversation out of my head. "Ow," I say softly as I rub my arm. "I'm sorry but seriously go back to happy Serena I want to see your smile again, please."

I fake a smile at her making her pout and drag me down the path grumbling. "Come on Ser don't make Allie upset," Scorpius says before sticking out his bottom lip trying to do the puppy dog eyes.

"Don't call me that," Alice says grumpily that my mood had kind of plummeted. I sigh bumping my shoulder with hers and wrapping my arms around her.

"Come on don't be upset," I squeeze her tightly making her gasp for breath and beg to be released. When she can finally breathe again we break out laughing.

"Hey, I'm supposed to be comforting you not the other way around," She replies glaring at me but she was obviously not upset.

"Okay girls, no more melodrama let's get going!" Scorpius says linking arms with Alice while she links with me and Albus appears to my right linking with my arm as well.

At one point the boys break away and run towards a prank shop, I think, that Albus's uncle owns leaving us in the dust. I can't help but laugh at them until a see someone in a black cloak watching me from the corner of my eyes. I turn abruptly causing them to recede into an alley as if pretending they were never there.

"I'll be right back," I tell Alice quickly as I head towards the last place I saw them. But once I go into the alley no one is there so I just stand there a bit confused. Maybe I imagined it, I think as I head back out to see Alice waiting for being and I can't help but smile. "Thanks for waiting."

"Always," She says linking arms with me as we continue to follow in the boy's footsteps.
