Luke POV

"Wait, are you serious?" I stand up in shock. Olivia hadn't returned in four days now and it turns out one of the Daltons was missing, too.

"Yes," Uncle Felix nods, "I have no doubt that this is the work of that organisation our prisoner spoke of."

"But there were no signs of break-ins in either castle. Isn't that a bit strange?" My cousin, Theo, speaks up.

Uncle Felix nods, "yes, I noticed that. Unless it's not a kidnapping."

"What do you mean, of course it is! Olivia wouldn't just leave!" I argue. I had faith in my sister, and with everything she went through she wouldn't leave.

"It's just a suggestion. Besides, what else can we do? Both sides have guards patrolling and they're even considering house searches!" Theo points out.

"I don't think the people would be happy if we started searching everyone's homes. Especially this close to Christmas," Uncle Marcus says, "but then again this is the princess, I'm sure they'd understand."

"Yes, I'd like to think of that as a last resort," Uncle Felix sighs, "but I'm not sure what else to do. I don't think any of us like waiting, and with what happened last time I feel awful."

If we all just sit about like this there'll be more bombs and we might never see Liv again!

"But don't you think it's unusual," Uncle Felix begins, "that if these two were kidnapped, their kidnappers haven't demanded anything yet? The last time almost instantly they demanded something in return for Olivia but it's been four days and we've heard nothing. They could've even boasted about killing them, but yet we've heard nothing."

Uncle Jeremy nods, "I agree. That is weird."

"I hate to admit it but he has a point," Theo nods.

Yeah, he's right. But what else could it be?

"So what do you think happened?" I asked my uncle, still refusing to believe anything else.

He shrugs, "I suppose we'll find out," he looks at me seriously, "I assure you whatever happened we will get to the bottom of it."

I nod solemnly , "thank you, Uncle Felix."

Theo and I left our uncles in the King's office to continue with their meeting. I was desperate to find out what happened and I knew he was too. I knew Lewis and Liam wanted to help too but I didn't want them getting involved. I knew Olivia wouldn't want it either, maybe that was why I was so against it. Why does it feel like she's dead? She will be if I don't do something.

"He's right, you know," Theo says quietly.

"Huh?" I look up from the ground.

"There were no signs of a break in or anything. Guards were at the doors all night and surely if she was kidnapped there would be some sort of sign? The Daltons had no signs of break-ins either," he shrugs, "I'm just sayin', maybe it wasn't a kidnapping."

"Really, Theo?" I glare at him angrily, "you seriously think she ran away? What makes you so sure?"

He holds up his hands, "I didn't say that."

"You implied it!" I argue, "Olivia would never do that! Never!"

"She was acting kinda weird before it. We all thought so," he raises his eyebrows, "maybe something happened that we don't know about."

"No, enough of that!" I growl, "I know my own twin sister. She would never do that, so just forget it."

"Calm down, Luke," he puts his hand on my shoulder, "we'll figure it out."
