Devon Devereaux

I shuffled a little as my head moved up and down at a steady pace and Nate rubbed my shoulder with his arm around me. "You awake?" He whispered.

"Mm," I hummed quietly. "What time is it?" I mumble.

"Like ten am." He answered.

I sat up and squinted at him. "You stayed all night?"

"Obviously," he laughed.

I rolled my eyes and laid back down, my back towards him.

"You know what I think though?" He said, I felt the bed dip behind me.

"What?" I ask my eyes shut so I can go back to sleep.

"I think, that next sleepover we lose the clothes." He said and lifted the fabric on my shoulder some then dropped.

"You'd like that, huh?"

"Mhm," he hummed. He wrapped his arm around me. "But this will do." He said into my ear.

"Okay, I'm going back to sleep," I laughed a little and snuggled my head into my pillow.

He placed an open kiss on my neck then whispered, "Sorry." The next thing I know he roll me over so I was on my back and he was hovering over me and tickling me.

"N-Nate, stop." I laugh and try to push him off of me. Soon, it took awhile but soon I was able to push him off of me rolling over with him, I ended up straddling him while I calmed down from laughing.

"You know-" he started with a smile on his face but was interrupted by the door opening.

"Dev', we're going to-" Hayes said but quickly stop when he saw us.

"What's up?" I asked not acknowledging the position me and Nate were in.

"Me and Nash are going to McDonald's, wanna go?" He asked.

"Sure," I answer and get off Nate pulling my hair up into a messy ponytail.

"Hayes," Nate nodded at little Grier acknowledging him.

"Skate," Hayes copied him. "Ready?" Hayes looked at me once as I threw on a pair of slides.

"Yeah," I nod. "I'll be back." I looked at Nate and he nodded and gave a smile.

Me and Hayes left the room and met up with Nash in the car.

Hayes opted to sit in the back while I sat in the passenger seat and Nash drove.

"What's up with Skate?" Hayes asked the second Nash started to back out of the driveway.

"Nothing," I answered him with a small shake of my head.

"Nothing? So nothing is what I walked in on?" He question. Nash quickly looked at me then back at the rode.

"What did you walk in on?" Nash asked quickly.

"Dev' straddling him," Hayes told Nash.

"Devon, really?" Nash sighed.

"Griers, it's nothing, honestly. He was tickling me and I pushed him off of me that's when Hayes walked in. It's nothing." I told them.

"He spent the night though, what happened?" Nash asked.

"So?" I say looking between both of them.

"We know Skate," Hayes says. "He'll fuck you then leave you, Devon."

"I honestly don't believe that, the time that I've spent with him he's been great," I tell them.

"Great like Jacob?" Nash asked.

I scoffed. "Jacob was my fault, okay? And I'm not stupid, you guys, me and Nate can't happen." I say.

"Then cut it off with him," Hayes said.

"He's just a friend, Hayes." I say. "That's it, I know guys like him, plus when I go back home it won't matter."

"Dev' we're just trying to look out for you." Nash sighed as he pulled up into the McDonald's drive thru behind a few cars.

"We told you that you shouldn't of gone after Jacob and look what happened with him." Hayes said. "Same thing with Skate, it won't end well."

"What don't you get, nothing is happening with Nate." I tell them annoyed that they don't get it.

"Fine," Nash sighed.

Hayes Grier

Devon grabbed her food from the bag and got out of the car then headed up to the house. "Maybe nothing will happen, Devon has been careful since Jacob." Nash said looking back at me.

"She hasn't been careful, she's been busy with everything." I say.

"She says she has it though, and we know how stubborn she is." Nash says.

"Skate and Jacob are totally different." I tell him. "She says she has it but she doesn't."

Nash sighed. "Yeah," he nodded.
