Devon Devereaux

"Dev'!" Hayes called from the living room.

I shut the fridge and grabbed the bottle of water off the counter that I just put out. "Yeah!" I called back leaving the kitchen and entering the living room where Hayes, Nash, Johnson, Gilinsky, Nate and Swazz were playing fifa. Johnson and Swazz were playing while the others were sat back watchinv or on their phone.

"B-day party Saturday, Okay? Okay." Nash said typing on his phone.

I rolled my eyes and plopped down on the couch. The only empty spot was in between the arm and Johnson. "No." I stated.

"Yes," Hayes nodded. "The last time we celebrated was your seventeen."

"That's not true." I shook my head and took the cap off my water. "You two and some of the guys annoyed me at the bar on my nineteen."

"Because you won't leave for a night to celebrate." Hayes said.

"Just like your eighteen and twenty." Nash stated.

I roll my eyes and took a sip if my drink. "Come on, we throw amazing parties, ma." Nate spoke up. The first sentence we've spoke since earlier.

"I've been to one of them." I laughed.

"We are throwing a party." Gilinsky said.

"No decision."

I kept my eyes shut leaned back on my hands, my head tilted back and my feet hanging into the water of the pool. The only noise heard was the familiar, almost calming sound, of the basketball bouncing.

"Your not gonna play a game with us?" A voice spoke. I opened my eyes looking to my left, Nate was starting to sit down next to me.

"Nah," I shook my head leaning it back shutting my eyes again.

"Aw, not gonna show off some of those skills the Griers talk about." He bumped me with his shoulder.

I laughed and sat up, grabbing my water bottle on my right. "No, no one is gonna see those 'skills'."  He laughed. He leaned back on his hands sticking his feet into the water as I took a drink of my water. "Aren't you gonna go play?" I asked raising a eye brow as I set my water down beside me.

"No," he shook his head. "It's much better right here."
