Nate Maloley

"Where she at?" I asked standing in the doorway.

"Room." Nash anwsered.

I nodded and turned around walking to the hallway and down it. I knocked lightly and opened the door, Devon was on her side asleep. I walked into the room and grabbed the blanket, covering her. I walked back to the door amd looked back at her. She rolled over amd gave a quiet hum while she brought the blanket closer to her. I turned around and quietly shut the door.

Devon Devereaux

I peeked my eyes open to see the bedroom door shutting as quiet as possible then I heard light steps walking away. I rid the blanket that was not on me when I fell asleep and looked at the time, eight fifty-six.

I sighed amd walked to the door opening it up. As I walked down the hall I tied my hair up into a messy bun. Before I completly had exit the hallway I was stopped my a conversation in the living room. I stood outta sight behind the wall- next to the entrance to the living room.

"-fuck happened?" Was the first thing I heard, I recognized the voice as Nash.

"Rupp said someshit to her." A second voice spoke, Nate.

"What'd he say?" A third voice asked, Hayes.

"That she's not my type." Nate anwsered. I don't know if I should be happy that he asked to see what happened instead of letting it go. Or if I should be upset that he didn't let it go.

"Explains why she is upset." Hayes said.

"She's upset about that?" Nate asked, it seem more rhetorical than an actual question. Since I couldn't see him, I couldn't tell if he was genuinely confused or happy that i was upset- happy because I like him.

I like him. I like Nathan, also known as Skate.

"So what'd you say to him?" Nash asked drawing my attention back to their conversation.

"I just asked him who he was to say that to her, he basically said it was obvious and everyone knew it including me." Nate told them. "So I told the fucker to leave." Hearing him say that made a small smile come onto my face.

"Good." Hayes stated and I could hear the his joy that he made Dillon leave after that.

"Wait." Nash said with a audible sigh. "You see his face, there's more." Nash told Hayes probably pointing at Nate's face. "What else is there Nathan?"

I heard a sigh then a few moments later Nate answer him. "He stayed. We argued some, kinda."

"What else did he say?" Hayes asked with disappointed in his voice.

"Basically, he called Devon a gold digger. Before you yell, I told him she isn't." Nate said. "He then had said that claiming she isn't a gold digger is the same thing I did with Ana. Also saying I don't know her."

"Is that all?" Nash asked.

"Basically, other than saying she isn't my type again." Nate anwsered. "He tried making it very clear. Saying how she isn't like my exes at all, how my exes have big tits, tiny waist and a fat ass."

Someone sighed.

"Skate, understand this Devon will never ended up like one of your exes. Okay?" Nash said.

"I know, man." Nate scoffed a little. "But-"

"No fucking buts, Skate." Hayes cut him off. "Either yo-"

"What's up, Devon?" A voice came from down the hall startling me. Nash, Hayes and Nate's conversation completely stopped. I turned around quickly towards the voice.

"G. Hey." I drawled out the 'y'.

"What're  you doing?" He asked rubbing his eye walking down thr hallway towards me.

"Oh, uh, just gonna get some water." I said pointing behind towards the direction of the kitchen. He gave me this spectacle look. "You?"

"Living room." He said still giving me a look. He opened his mouth to talk but I beat him to it.

"Alright." I nodded. I turned around and made my way to the kitchen as calmly as I could, being that I might of just been caught ease dropping.

I entered the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water then headed back out.

I passed by the living room, looking in and acted surprised to see Nate. "Hey, when'd you get here?"

He looked up at me. "Not long ago." He answered.

"Alright, well I'm going to shower, so none of you get into trouble." I said and turned around to the hall and went to the bathroom.
