Devon Devereaux

When we got to the studio Nate opened the door for me causing me to smile. We sat down with Derek, Kyle and Dillon. "Aye, it's Devon." Dillon cheered.

"What's up." I said leaning back.

"Swazz just left to get burgers." Derek informed Nate.

"Ight." Nate nodded back.

------

Swazz held up the In and Out bag by the glass that looks into the booth catching Nate's attention. Nate nodded and spoke threw the Mic, "Lemme just redo this verse again, man."

Swazz nodded and sat down with us while Nate gave a thumbs up to the producer and his voice came through the speakers once again. Before I could even listen Derek spoke. "So Devon, whatcha doing with our boy?" He asked with a playful smirk.

"What you mean?" I asked confused with a little laugh.

"What he means is your not Skate's type, he doesn't go after girls like you." Dillon stated seriously.

"What's that suppose to mean?" I asked offended and sat back, crossing my arms.

Before anyone of them could speak again Nate walked outta the booth and sat down next to wrapping his arm around my shoulders after lighting a joint that was on the table. He looked at my position then over at his boys. He looked back at me with furrowed eyebrows and leaned down slightly to me and lowly asked, "What's wrong?"

After a moment I looked up at him with a slight shake of my head. "Nothing."

I knew he didn't believe but he left it, at least for now. I know he'll bring it up some other time. He changed the subject but kept talking lowly so the  others didn't hear, even though I knew they listening and watching. "About an hour then we can head out and get takeout and your egg roll." He smiled with a little laugh at end when he metioned my egg roll.

Nate furrowed his eyebrows at me and he lost his smile when we noticed my eyes glance over the boys and when I leaned forward to get up. "Acutally, I'm gonna head out." I told him.

He sighed as he passed his joint to Derek. He grabbed my hand and let me to the hall after shutting the door to the lounge area he asked, "What did they say?" He asked.

"Nothing, Nate." I told him.

"I don't believe you."

"It's nothing, Nate." I told him.

"Then why are leaving? I know they said something." He said looking in my eyes.

"Its okay, I promise." I said. "I just want to hang out with my two best friends, that's all." I told him.

He sighed and dropped it. "Fine. Then chill with us for the last hour and I can give you a ride."

"No Nate, hang with your boys."

"Then let me get you an uber." He stated pullinh his phone out.

"Nathan, no." I laughed pushing his hand down.

"Devon, then let me call one of the Griers to get you." He sighed.

"No, I'm fine, I can get an Uber myself."

"Fine," he sighed.
