*Lynn's POV*
"I don't understand you. Mom just died less than 24 hours ago!" I screamed with hot tears running down my face. I honestly don't know how I still have tears left. I have not stopped crying since mom died. Now my sister and I are having our first fight in years. Brynn has been acting very strange. I don't even think she cried when mom died. What is wrong with her?
"What is your problem? Mom wouldn't want you to be moping all around like this." Brynn snorted with only a touch of sadness in her voice.
"Whats my problem? Again. Mom hasn't even been gone a day! I'm still heavily grieving. Why aren't you!" My sister is really scaring me. We never fight. I'm always so pro peace, so when I raise my voice it has to be something big.
"You don't even know, Lynn. I am grieving, just in a different way." replied Brynn
"Oh really? Last time I checked partying and hanging out with her boyfriend isn't grieving!" I said dryly. No really. My tears are gone. Its just pure anger. It is silent for a few minutes. Then I break the silence, "Aren't you gonna-"
"We broke up, Lynn." my sister says her voice cracking.
"Oh my god. Brynn, I'm so sorry. I didn't know." I say shocked. I honestly had no idea they broke up. Immediately feeling so bad for my sister I pull her into a hug. "I'm so sorry, I'm so selfish."
"Its okay, you had no way of knowing. its okay to be selfish sometimes. Especially since mom just died." my sister said, still with no tears. I mean her voice caught on the word 'died' but that was the only emotion she showed.
"No!" I shrieked, the tears coming back, "I am never selfish. I don't know what has gotten into me."
"It's fine I acted dumb anyways. I will be better." she said as she took me by the shoulder and looked me in the eyes. Our deep brown eyes boring into each other.
"Promise?"
"Promise!" my sister said with fake enthusiasm.
I really want to believe her and trust that she still the same sister that I grew up with, but something tells me that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

I know its a short chapter, but the chapters will get longer as we go. So I hope you guys are liking it!
