*Brynn's POV*

"They're announcing the nominees for homecoming king and queen today after lunch," I told Kyle as we hopped out of his black mustang and headed into school.

"I know, and you're nominated," he smiled.

"Oh my goodness, I am?" I gasp sarcastically. Of course I was nominated, why wouldn't I be? I am cheer captain after all.

"Hey, don't get cocky," Kyle chuckled, "you have a good chance at winning, but you never know,"

"True," I agreed. Kyle had a point, but I already knew the outcome; I would win.

"I think Lynn's nominated too, but I don't think she knows," he told me as we stopped at his locker.

"Great," I said rolling my eyes, "Now we're going to have to compete against each other again just like with cheer captain,"

Lynn and I are already driven pretty far apart. This wasn't a big deal to me, but it would be so much easier if I was just nominated and not her. She was going to end up really hurt when I won and not her. I still care about her, she's my twin and I didn't want to hurt her like I probably did with cheer captain.

"I know, it sucks. But don't let that hold you back. Win this thing Brynn," Kyle told me as he pulled out his English text book and shut his locker.

"I will," I smiled at him. We started to walk away from his locker and as we were about to turn the corner to go down the hallway to my locker, we practically butted heads with Adrian, Lynn's best friend. She gave me an evil glare then walked around us.

"Why the hell did she look at me like that for? I've never done anything to her," I questioned. Adrian and I have always been pretty friendly. I've hung around her before when she was Lynn and stuff and I'd say we were at least friends. We held small conversations and laughed. There's never been a time when I ever treated her bad.

"Probably because of the whole thing between you and Lynn. I'd do the same thing to Lynn," He chuckled. That made sense, it is a typical best friend thing to do when your best friend is fueding with someone, you always side with your best friend no matter if they're wrong or right.

We walked down the hall and headed for my locker where we could see Tanya leaning up against it.

"Hey, guys!" Tanya greeted once we arrived at my locker. This was our usual morning routine. Kyle and I would walk in together, go to his locker, then head to my locker where Tanya would be waiting. Tanya didn't ride with us to school because she got a ride from her boyfriend, Danny, so we decided to just meet at my locker so we had time to talk before the first bell rang.

"Hey!" I greeted her back pulling her into a quick hug.

"I can't wait for the assembly later!" She exclaimed, "I'm so going to be your rep. I'm going to promote you as homecoming queen all over the school. There are going to be posters and I'll hand out flyers and bake cupcakes. You'll so win with my cupcakes,"

"What if you're nominated too?" I asked her. Tanya was absolutely gorgeous. She had gorgeous brown waves that were a little longer than shoulder length and big brown eyes. She had a gorgeous smile and just all around beautiful features. If she won homecoming queen I wouldn't be surprised.

"I heard I was so I dropped out," she told me.

"Tanya! Why would you do that?" I scolded her.

"Because I want you to win," she told me with a smile, "Besides, being homecoming queen doesn't matter to me, but I know it matters to you,"
