*Brynn's POV*
I woke up groggily the next morning. Tanya was lying on me and we were both still in our homecoming dresses. Her makeup was smeared all over her face and I assumed mine looked similar. Last night, all I did was cry. Once we got back to Tanya's house after the dance and got up to her room, I immediately let it all out. I started sobbing uncontrollably and venting about everything. Tanya listened the whole time and cried with me. Then once we couldn't cry anymore, we fell asleep.
Tanya was lying on top of me and I pushed her off so I could get up. Luckily she's a heavy sleeper, so even if I sucker punched her in the face right now, she wouldn't even twitch.
Once I stood up off her bed, I walked down the hallway and into the bathroom. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and I looked like a drunken whore. I had dried mascara and eyeliner all over my face and my face was blotchy because some of my foundation came off, but some spots still consisted of it. My light pink lipstick was also smeared as well and my hair was a ratted mess. I thoroughly washed my face and made sure I got all of the makeup off. I then walked back into Tanya's room and found the sleeping beauty still sound asleep and snoring obnoxiously.
I ignored her snoring and walked over to her dresser and pulled out a pair of green Under Armor shorts and black tee and quickly changed. I brushed my tangled brown hair and then threw it up in a messy ponytail. I grabbed my phone that was on the nightstand by Tanya's bed and sat down in one of her comfy bean bag chairs and unlocked my phone.
I found two missed calls from Mason, one missed call from Kyle, and about fifteen missed calls from Joe. Mason and Joe both left a voicemail, but Kyle didn't. Mason's voicemail was just him simply asking me if I was okay and telling me to call him back as soon as possible, and Joe's was him chewing me out because he didn't know where I was and he was worried sick. I laughed at my overly protective brother and shot him a quick text letting him know I stayed the night at Tanya's last night and that I was fine. It surprised me that Kyle didn't leave a voicemail and he only called once. Whenever Kyle calls me and I miss it, he calls me another fifty times until I answer and he leaves tons of voicemails. Not once has he ever just called me once and left it at that, that's really weird.
"Hey, those are my favorite shorts," Tanya mumbled as she was trying to sit up while rubbing her eyes.
"You never wear these," I stated.
"Well, they're still my favorite," she grumbled as she started walking out of her room and down the hallway to the bathroom I assumed. After about ten minutes she came back with a clean face that was no longer smudged with makeup and she had her hair up in a messy bun. She then walked over to her dresser and pulled out some comfy clothes.
"Are you feeling better?" Tanya asked me as she squeezed beside me in the small bean bag chair. I swear this girl does not know what personal space is.
"Yeah," I lied. Tanya gave me a knowing look. She knew I was lying.
"You know you're a horrible liar, right?" She grinned at me.
I sighed, "I just want to forget about it,"
"Okay, we can forget about it,"
"Thank you,"
"But please don't let it eat you up inside, alright? Don't let this ruin your happiness. We all know who the true queen is," Tanya smiled.
"Thanks, Tan. You're the best,"
"And don't you forget it," With that, Tanya picked up her phone from her nightstand and check the time, "Dang, we slept in late. I'm craving fro-yo how about you?" I looked down at my phone and saw it was 1:23 in the afternoon.
