Lani

Y'all again? I guess you're here to find out how Alex and I are doing. I haven't talked to Alex at all and I've made it to 3 years living in South Carolina.

The first-year Alex and I talked nonstop then things started going left. I've changed throughout these three years, I grew my hair out and got a couple more tattoos.

I finally got a job! I work at a nursing home but it's not an everyday thing, it's mostly when they're low on staff and need someone to fill in.

But before all that Alex promised she'd come to visit me now I don't want her to because my attitude has changed tremendously.

I got up from my bed rushing to the doorbell. "Who is it?" I asked turning the lock opening the door halfway. "Open the door already." I heard as the door was pushed open, hitting me in my forehead.

"Jesus Chr— Alex?!" I squealed rubbing my eyes to make sure what I'm seeing isn't an illusion.

"Alex!" I jumped swinging my arms around her neck. "You don't know how much I missed you." She chuckled picking me up.

"I missed you too! This is so unexpected." I smiled as she looked in my eyes. I cheesed as she carried me to my room, laying me down on my bed then laying next to me.

"Baby, you look so different." Alex grinned running her fingers through my hair. "Do you like it?" I asked smiling even harder.

"I love it."

I blushed laying on top of her after three years apart this is enough to get me to relax. "I missed you," I mumbled kissing her jaw while stroking the side of her face. "I missed you too.

I still can't believe Alex is here with me after three years away from me! It was hard not getting to see her at school or going home knowing that Alex isn't coming over.

"My baby graduated." Alex chuckled pointing at my graduation picture hanging on the wall. "Speaking of graduation, you looked so handsome at yours," I said before kissing her softly.

"Thank you, Princess."

"My handsome fiancé." I purred kissing her once more. "That's right." Alex was blushing as hard as ever, I never give her compliments because her head is big enough.

But today is a special day.

"Fine ass," I whispered cupping her face. "Chill." Alex giggled.

"I love you." I'm so happy around her, I can't deny the way I feel about Alex. Although I want to strangle her, I still love her.

Alex

"Right when you got on the plane I just felt so sad," I said laying in between Lani's legs.

"But now you're here with me, and you'll never have to feel like that again." Lani cheered running her fingers through my hair.

"I haven't seen you're fine ass in a minute, a whole damn meal with fucking glaze. You're like a walking glazed donut." Believe it or not but this counts as a compliment in my book.

"Now we get to talk about our soon to come wedding and our baby."

Almost forgot Lani wanted to have a baby.

"His name is Lucas for your information," I said sternly as Lani smacked me in my forehead.

"Lucas? Her name is Layla and that's the end of discussion." Lani pushed me out from between her legs forcing me to lay on my back.

"What! No way! If it's a girl her name is Aria or Audrey, If it's a boy then it's Lucas."

"Fine." I watched as Lani rolled her eyes. "See I knew you'd come around." I leaned in for a kiss but she put her hand in the way.

"Nope."

"Stop playing with me." I chuckled. "I'd like to talk about my wedding," Lani said flashing her ring in my face, I'm convinced that thing is taking control of her.

"Of course you do." I sighed folding my hands in my lap. "I'm all ears."

"Okay, we should do something in the winter or the spring, I'm not sure of what colors but it has to be nice, I want a three-layered cake. I certainly don't want any soft ass music. I want Chief Keef playing at my shit."

What if I want the baby first and then a wedding? Maybe I want more than one baby, or let's see I didn't want to get married for whatever reason and only wanted to have kids.

I'm just thinking of all the possible 'ifs' and 'maybes' because we all know how indecisive I really am. I'm really solid on getting married to Lani so don't worry about that department

"Alex, are you listening?"

"I told you I don't want to talk about all that right now," I said turning on my side, watching tv. "Why not?" She whined shaking me back and forth.

"Maybe tomorrow but not right now."

"Whatever." Lani huffed turning away from me. "Are you sure we can't talk about it?" She whispered still facing the wall. "Goodnight, Lani." I yawned backing up into her. "Hold me, you dickhead," I demanded waiting for her to wrap her arms around me.

"Why do you get to be the little spoon?" Lani asked poking at me. "Sometimes I want to be held too." I chuckled as she quickly kissed my cheek then wrapped her arms around me.

"I love you."

My favorite thing to hear.

"I love you too." And my favorite thing to say.
