Alex
Christmas morningI groaned covering my eyes from the sun. I got up immediately forgetting about Lani, my family is coming to my house.
"Merry Christmas," Lani said hugging me. "Merry Christmas, baby." I kissed her softly then went into the bedroom
"Alex, what's wrong?" Lani asked taking my hand in hers. "Nothing, I'm just trying to get outta here," I uttered putting all my stuff into my duffel.
"Wait! I got you something." Lani pulled my duffel bag away then got up opening her closet.
"Princess, you didn't have to get me anything." I chuckled taking the neatly wrapped box from her.
"Just open it." She grabbed her towel wrapping it around her. I took a deep breath slowly opening the box. "Thank you, baby." I smiled kissing her cheek.
Lani got me a pair of Air Force 1's and a new chain. She probably got me more but I'll open them later in the day.
"I'll see you in a bit." Lani kissed me before going into the bathroom. I turned around looking at the hickeys on her back, apparently, Lani has a thing for hickeys. I don't know why but she likes it.

"Merry Christmas." I kissed my mom's cheek and gave hugs to the rest of my family members.
My aunt gave me a dirty look and I rolled my eyes, she still can't get over the fact that I'm engaged to a girl.
"Hey, sweetheart." My mom hugged Lani with the biggest smile on her face.
"You still dating girls?" My aunt asked looking me up and down. "You still dating married men?" I asked pursing my lips.
"Don't worry about me, child."
"Never that." I chuckled walking away from her. She's dated 5 married men and had a baby with 2 of them, even if I was straight I wouldn't be opening my legs like that.
"Wassup G." Trey sat next to me poking his straw through his caprisun
"Nothing just kickin shit." He shrugged, running his hand over his waves.
Lani sat in between us and kissed Trey's cheek. I swear they're best friends no matter what, they do everything together.
"Hey, baby." Lani smiled laying her head on his shoulder. "Can I have a kiss?" I asked as Lani nodded her head then kissed me.
"Did you eat anything yet?" Lani asked taking my hand in hers. "Nah, not yet."
"Awe, let's get you something to eat." Lani took my hand leading me to the kitchen. "Thank you, princess," I said wrapping my arms around her waist.
"Just tell me what you want." Of course, Lani is gonna provide the attention I crave.
I tell Lani everything about my family. She knows I don't like my aunt that much.
"I love you," I said softly letting her go.
"I love you too." She smiled eating off my plate, We share everything with each other no matter how annoying we can be.
Lani
We sat around the Christmas tree opening gifts, Alex's mom got me a lot of good stuff and her uncle is the nicest man I've ever met.
"The heck is this?" Trey looked up at me holding the present I got him.
"You're holding it wrong." I chuckled as he turned it over reading the words '2k18'
"Jeez, thanks homie!" He hugged me then picked up the next gift reading the person's name.
"I got you one more gift."
"No, no more gifts. I got you 5 gifts, this is like the 7th one you've given me." I said pushing the box away.
"The last one I promise." Alex looked at me as I sighed taking the box from her. "Ma! She's opening it." Alex smiled.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me. "Go ahead, sweetheart," Amiya said recording off her phone.
"Okay then," I mumbled taking off the wrapping paper. "Before you open it, I want you to know that I'm with you forever." Alex grinned kissing my forehead.
I took a deep breath slowly peeling off the tape. I opened the box, staring inside it. "Alex," I said weakly looking up at her.
I cried taking out the picture of my mom and I. My mom was doing my hair while I had my arms crossed, probably because it hurt so much. I thought I had lost it when my house caught on fire but I guess not.
"Thank you." I cried wrapping my arms around Alex. "Thank you so much." I said placing my hands on her face. "Come on, you gotta see the rest." Alex wiped my tears as I nodded my head.
"It's my bear?" I questioned looking at the bear that had my name stitched on the red heart. "Press the heart."
I did as told then held it up to my ear.
"Look at my beautiful girl. You're all grown up, don't grow up too fast." "I love you, laylay."
"Merry Christmas, honey." Alex's mom said wiping my tears away. "Thank you," I said smiling, I couldn't control my tears. This is the best gift I've ever gotten.
"Merry Christmas, baby."
"I love you guys." I laughed drying my eyes then sat up. "But don't ever make me cry like that again." I joked pushing my hair back.
Best Christmas ever, hands down.
—
"I've never seen you cry so hard before." Alex chuckled. "It was a good gift," I uttered leaning over hiding my face in the crook of her neck.
"It was my idea but I didn't know what to get you exactly so my mom helped out."
"Well, thank you to both of you," I said softly kissing her jaw.
I learned that I can't be sad over my parents' death for the rest of my life, they would want me to move on and be happy again. Start a family of my own at some point and live my life to its full potential until it's my time.
I know they're both watching over me.
"Baby." I rested my head on her chest. "Yes, princess?" Alex moved her hand into the back of my head, massaging my scalp.
"Goodnight," I whispered closing my eyes. "Goodnight."
