Alex
I stood behind Lani watching her flat iron her hair. We're going out on our first date after three years apart and she's taking forever!
"Hurry up," I whined looking at my watch.
"Alex, I'm almost done just go in the garage and start the car." Lani turned around in her chair sitting up straight.
I took the iron from her hand and went over the groups of her hair watching it come out silky as can be then turned it off. "There now put a shirt on." I opened her closet taking out a white shirt and threw it at her.
"You're so impatient," Lani said putting her shirt over her head while walking out her room.
"Hurry up," I said looking back at her. "Stop walking so fast!" Lani yelled running to catch up with me. "Stop walking so slow." I chuckled finally letting her catch up. "Yeah, whatever." She rolled her eyes opening the car door for me. "Such a gentlewoman." I blushed getting inside.
"Mm baby you're so sexy," Lani whispered in my ear slowly licking my earlobe. "Thank you." I cheesed letting her kiss my neck I moaned softly making her stop. If she pulls this whole stop in the middle on me then I'm beating her ass.
"Damn I'm hungry." She smirked while I kissed my teeth watching her get out. A lot of these restaurants look different from the ones at home.
"What is this place?" I walked beside her taking in the smell of food. "So many questions." Lani chuckled grabbing my hand I trust her to not bring me to a low rating restaurant.
I find it so cute that Lani wants to take me on dates and stuff. Before we always hiding our relationship or being too lazy to go out. Maybe we can end this night on a good note and go back to her house.
"Sexy ass," Lani said looking back at me. All these compliments in one night are really boosting my self-esteem up to the ceiling.
We walked into Carolina Seafood and steak, we got a booth instead of a table but I don't really mind. "Fancy." I smiled pushing my hair behind my ears. "All for my baby," Lani said leaning over pecking my lips.
Not gonna say I don't like being pampered but, I could get used to this ;).
"Thank you, Princess." I smiled going in for another kiss. I've never been spoiled in a relationship but I guess it's a nice feeling. Lani doesn't owe me anything, I just expect her to love me unconditionally.

"Are you done eating off my plate?" Alex asked watching my fork leave her plate. "Are you done eating off mine?" I laughed as she pulled her fork away then smiled.
"Hi! I'm Kiana, I'll be your waiter for tonight, is there anything I could start you off with?"
I looked up at her immediately recognizing her voice. "Ki?" I asked watching a small smile come on her face.
"Laylay! It's been so long, how are you?" Ki placed her hands on both hips.
"I'm great! Life is great, everything's great." I cheesed folding my hands in my lap.
I know Ki because we finished the school year together. She was my first friend when I moved here but after graduation, she disappeared stuff.
We went back and forth with each other until Alex cleared her throat. "Oh, I almost forgot, this is my girlfriend Alex, Alex this is Ki." Alex waved as Ki smiled at her.
"Fiancé actually, we're engaged." Alex pointed out as I flashed my ring. "This is why I couldn't shoot my shot? Just but congratulations." Ki patted my back grinning ear to ear.
I didn't tell Ki about Alex because it has nothing to do with her. I made a promise not to talk to anyone while I was down here and I kept my promise.
"I'm hungry." Alex said resting her face in her palm."Wow, I'm sorry for distracting you guys. What would you like?"
We ordered and Ki quickly left us alone. "Why didn't she know about me?" Alex crossed her arms leaning back in her seat.
"It's none of her business so I never brought it up." I never brought it up because it wouldn't stop Ki, you mean to tell me you've seen this big ass ring and you're still trying to flirt?
"Whatever." Alex rolled her eyes as I sighed deeply. "Alex, please don't start."
Alex and I haven't really talked about when we're gonna try to have a baby. She wants me to come back home but I don't know. Yes, I'm grown but my mom still babies me even though she's never home.
My mom has to fly out to places for business and whatnot. My dad, on the other hand, is in New York
Honestly, I can't imagine my life without falling in love with Alex it doesn't seem right. She's put me through a lot yet we've gotten through so many problems with each other.
I noticed Alex was looking at me making my face turn to a bright red. She has that effect on me and always will. "Stop staring at me." I giggled covering my face. "I can't you're so beautiful." Her lips were all I could focus on.
"Thanks." I flipped my hair blushing even more.

"It was nice seeing you." Ki kissed my cheek letting me walk off to Alex.
Before y'all start talking let me just say that there will never be a Ki and Lani. "I'd like to go home now." Alex looked out the window admiring all the street lights.
"Baby, what's wrong?"
"Nothing."
I shrugged it off driving back home passing by people walking. If Alex doesn't want to be an adult and talk things out like one then so be it. "Do you think I was with messing around with Ki."
"Duh! It's obvious that you did something with her? She's trying to take my place!" Alex shouted shooting up from the passenger seat.
Alex can be insecure at times and it's adorable. "Ridiculous." I laughed parking the car then got out. "It's not funny, I'm being serious," Alex mumbled pushed me up the stairs. "Well you being serious is funny," I said taking off my shoes then going up the stairs.
I couldn't stop laughing, there will never be a day where I see Ki as more than a friend. She's always in trouble with authority or she's M.I.A, I'd be better off dating a brick than dating Ki.
"That was a good laugh." I grinned taking off my shirt. "Yeah, whatever." Alex rolled her eyes before giving me the finger.
Such a crazy story she managed to make up in her head.
