Lani
10 am"Please don't leave," I said pulling down on Alex's sweater. "I'm not leaving." Alex chuckled picking up Lucas.
I kissed her face sucking on her cheek leaving a hickey. I lifted up my shirt as Alex moved Lucas onto my lap.
"If something does happen I give you permission to get nasty with Niah or Scarlett." Alex kissed my jaw down my neck.
"How thoughtful," I said as she rubbed my inner thigh. "I'm gonna make everything up to you." She was sucking and kissing all my weak spots.
I pulled away and looked at her. "One thing you like about me," I said while pushing my hair back.
"Your personality," Alex said. "One thing you like about me?" She asked as I up carried Lucas to our room.
"Your personality, energy and all." Alex laid down next to me resting her head on my shoulder.
"Don't go," I said looking back at her. "I won't." Alex huffed as I grinned taking her hand in mine. She planted soft kisses on my face while I closed my eyes.
"I love you." She mumbled but I heard her crystal clear. "I love you too."
+++++
I opened my eyes due to the loud crying and rolled out of bed.
I huffed balling up my fist, I picked up my glasses allowing my eyesight to clear up. I smiled in Lucas's face and he stopped crying, he grabbed onto my finger putting it in his mouth.
He clung onto my waist while I looked at the gifts on the dresser. The gifts are Alex's way of saying sorry.
"Your mother is so complicated," I mumbled making my way to the kitchen.
"What should we eat?" I sat Lucas in his high chair taking out one of his baby foods. He likes most of them but sometimes he'll play with it.
"Why is your mom texting me?" I scoffed looking at my phone while spoon-feeding Lucas.
Lucas is getting bigger each and every day! I can't get over the fact that this is my baby boy.
"Mm." Lucas made a noise that seemed as humming. He picked up a lot of things from Alex and me when someone's mad to give them kisses or hugs.
He can't say thank you but he'll make a noise when you give him something. He's gonna be such a nice boy when he gets older.
Can't wait to see him all grown up.
Alex
I laid down in my hotel room after reuniting with all my coworkers. Chicago has been good so far but I'm ready to get this over with. I know Lani is mad at me for lying but I'm gonna make it up to her one way or another.
I miss my Lucas and his little smile so if I FaceTime Lani and she doesn't pick up there's gonna be a problem.
"What do you want?" Lani rolled her eyes as I chuckled. "Baby, you can't be mad at me," I said taking my shirt off and folded it.
"Alex, you told me you'd stay." Lani put her phone down and picked up a wipe cleaning Lucas's mouth.
"I'm sorry."
"I don't think you are." "I hate that job of yours," Lani mumbled putting her hair in a bun.
I stifled a laugh as Lucas began crying and screaming at the top of his lungs. Lani picked up Lucas swaying back and forth.
"What do want me to do?" Lani said while sitting down and lifted up her shirt. "I'm tired baby."
"Did you eat?" I looked at my suitcase then at Lani as she shook her head no. "Only time I ate was this morning, I wanted you to cook tonight cause I thought you'd still be here." She gave me a stank face and I sighed.
I feel bad for leaving her. "You wanna see daddy? See look it's daddy." Lani grabbed her phone and showed Lucas my face.
"Hi, papa." I smiled receiving a big gummy smile and a bunch of baby noises. "Fat man cutting up over there." I chuckled watching him reach for the phone.
"You know he only acts right for you." Lani rolled her eyes as I nodded. Lucas only cries when I'm not there.
"You know I didn't want to leave but I had to." I sighed pushing my hair back. "I know," Lani mumbled before taking a deep breath.
"Igh shorty I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay, bye." Lani pouted as I smiled yet again. "I love you," I said before waving bye at her and Lucas. "I love you too daddy." Lani winked at me before hanging up.
I gotta start putting Lani and Lucas first. Lani is independent but there are moments where she really needs me.
