Lani
"You're gonna wake up daddy," I whispered as Lucas cried. "Papa, don't do this to me." I rocked him back and forth and looked at Alex's time from time.
"You need help?" Alex asked sitting up on the side of the bed rubbing her eyes.
"No, you can go back to bed."
She took Lucas from me and he stopped crying once he saw her. That's the second time he's done that.
I got back in bed facing Alex's back, she placed Lucas in the middle of us and turned facing me.
"I love you, papa." I kissed Lucas and gave him my finger. "Love you G." Alex kissed his cheek before running her fingers in her hair.
"I love you too ma." She kissed me softly while I pulled her hair.
I used to pull her hair during our tutor sessions and she'd flirt with me when I did. We used to be good back then, y' know flirt with each other.
Alex came on my side of the bed laying on top of me. I kissed her forehead as she placed my hand in her hair.
"Moment of honest someones gotta take the lead tonight, who's it gonna be? I'm gonna sit right and tell you while it comes to me if you have something to say you should say it right now."
I couldn't be too loud but I was singing at a decent volume.
"You give me a feeling that I never felt before and I deserve it, I think I deserve. It's becoming something impossible to ignore and I can't take it. I was wondering maybe, could I make you my baby? If we do the unthinkable would it make us look crazy? If you ask me I'm ready." I held onto Alex while playing in her hair
"I know you said to me, this is exactly how it should feel when it's meant to be. Time is only wasting, so why wait for it eventually? If we gonna do something about it, we should do it right now."
I listened to her soft snores while closing my eyes. Alex can be hard-headed but I love her for it.

Morning
"Good morning," I said eating my cereal as Lani came in the kitchen.
"Good morning." Lani yawned before kissing my cheek. "You look tired." I sat her in my lap holding her waist, we looked at my phone as it vibrated on the table. Lani rolled her eyes looking at Ashton's name on the screen.
"Read it." I kissed the back of her shoulder as she picked up my phone unlocking it.
It was a paragraph about how I have to fly out for work and I'll be gone for a year. Lani tossed my phone on the table then got up from my lap
"Did you know?" Lani asked looking me up and down. "I swear I ain't know," I said looking away from her. "You did know! Alex, why wouldn't you tell me?!"
I stood in front of her as she crossed her arms, Lani hates when I don't mention my work schedule.
"I didn't tell you because you would've made it hard for me to leave," I said pushing her hair
"A year?! What if something happens to you!? I can't go through that!" Lani cried in my chest as I held onto her.
"Nothing is gonna happen to me." I kissed her cheeks softly while tears slipped out.
She looked over at Lucas as he cooed drooling all over his PJ's. She picked him up against her waist.
"Daddy is being really stupid and keeps making me cry." Lani kissed his face while I sucked my teeth.
"Nothing is going to happen, I promise," I said kissing her softly.
"Daddy is leaving soon." She laughed at Lucas as he cried grabbing onto my chain. He knows what it means when people are leaving and it's the most annoying thing.
"Why would you tell him?" I smiled before taking Lucas from her. "You gotta eat me out before you go." She patted my back looking at me.
"I'm leaving tomorrow."
"More time to get nasty." Lani grinned touching the back of my head. I don't want Lani to be mad but this is what I do.

I sat on the bedroom floor as Lani braided my hair, she's been talking about how I'm leaving and I'll never come back.
"We're going to Chicago... Ashton's having us drop some folks down there, it's gonna be a lot of work but I'm stuck in this." I said sitting in between her legs
"I wish you would open your eyes and realize that there's so much more." Lani sighed as she finished my hair
I stood up looking down at her, Lani wants what's best for me and I understand. I just don't want her thinking that I'm not happy with what I do.
"Everything will be okay." I kissed her forehead.
We packed my suitcase and the rest of my bags. I want to get Lani a new ring when before I leave, she doesn't want a new one and refuses to let me buy her one.
"I love you," Lani said before kissing me."I love you too." I kissed down her neck sucking on her skin.
I kissed her face only for her to move and look at Lucas. She's scared to get nasty in front of Lucas even though he has no idea what's going on.
"Alex, you know I can't." Lani sighed laying down on the bed.
Lucas was in his crib, he doesn't sleep in it we just put him there when we're busy. He was watching tv from afar but I don't think he can even tell what it is.
"He doesn't know what's going on." I chuckled getting in bed with her.
"You sure?"
I nodded my head before kissing her stomach sliding off her sweatpants. I'm not gonna leave my baby without granting her every wish.
