It took two months, eight weeks, fifty-six days, for me to realize one thing that would ruin the dynamic of everything Daniel and I had.
I had to be driven to the hospital by Jack since I fainted at the Why Don't We house and I wanted Daniel to stay home with Louis since I didn't want Louis catching a cold or anything from the hospital.
When at the hospital there were blood tests taken and I had to pee in cups, so they could make sure everything was okay. While I was sitting with Jack and talking about their music the doctor walked in holding a clipboard and locking eye contact with me, he knew who I was, I was on the news nine months ago and shortly reoccurred on things when I had to defend Jake, or Logan whenever they did something dumb.
"Mrs. Seavey, good news is that you're not sick, the other news is that you're pregnant. The baby's fine, you just fainted because you were dehydrated, so you need to drink a lot more water. Now technology can't determine the gender just yet, but once you hit eleven weeks we can by drawing some blood," The doctor explained to me and I just nodded my head as Jack just stared at me, I didn't even think about what he was thinking.
I was literally nineteen though and on my second kid with Daniel. I didn't think I was ready for a second kid just yet, we wanted it a little more spread out, but this is the hand we're dealt with.
Two dogs, two kids, two parents. I got in the car with Jack and he drove home and the entire car ride home was just silence until he finally brought up what happened in the hospital.
"When are you going to tell Daniel?" Jack questioned.
"Right when we get home," I answered, Daniel, needed to know the truth.
"How do you feel?" Jack asked me.
"Honestly, I think I'll be okay," I sighed, "I did fine with Louis alone, now it's both Daniel and me with two kids. The second one Daniel can do most of the work this time."
We sat in the car in silence for a little longer and then we pulled up in the driveway and when I got inside I saw Louis in Daniel's arms and once he saw me he exclaimed, "Mama!"
The two words he knew so far were Mama and Ball, we were still working on him saying Dada, but I knew it'd be a little harder cause Daniel was often gone a lot, so he didn't really get the concept just yet.
I went over to Louis and picked him up and kissed him on the forehead and then I just announced to the entire house, "Louis isn't an only child anymore."
"Wait what?" Daniel quickly questioned and I just looked at him.
"I'm pregnant," I answered and Daniel just looked at me dazed, but then his look turned into a smile.
"Well isn't the Seavey family growing fast?" Daniel asked I knew that he was probably freaking out in his head, but of course, he wouldn't show me or anyone how worried he was.
We sat on the couch together and since it was literally just the afternoon, I watched as Daniel play fought with Louis and all Louis did was smile and giggle, but constantly called for me, so I had to be on the ground with them.
At the end of the day, I left with Louis leaving Daniel and the rest of the boys at the Why Don't We house, meanwhile, I was in the beginning to be very crowded apartment. I knew I'd have to buy a house with a lot more rooms than what would originally be needed.
When I got home, I put Louis to bed, kissed him on the forehead and then I had to just let both of the dogs out to go to the bathroom on the porch where I had Logan install some grass for them. They did their business and when they came inside I was getting ready for bed.
Once I was in bed I got a few texts from Zach, which was very unexpected since we weren't actually that close.
(Quick A/N: Like the texting style I'm gonna do is just gonna be like full sentence no abbreviation shit, cause that annoys me sometimes)
Zach: Jonah and Daniel are fighting, don't get mad or anything, but I think it's about you.
Me: Why?
Zach: The whole second kid thing, Jonah says Daniel isn't treating you right. Cause Daniel's always leaving on tours, just takes care of Louis when he's with you, he says 'Daniel doesn't love you properly' like he could.
Me: I love Daniel a lot, and Daniel loves me a lot. I think that Jonah just sees that we live separately, and how Daniel is often focusing on his career like how I MYSELF, ask him to do. I was thinking of buying a house though in a few months. Would having Daniel move in with me, put a strain on his and Jonah's relationship? I want them to be brothers again.
Zach: I think we should let this fix itself and then you ask him to move in, I mean he is your husband, so I don't think he'd decline.
Me: I know, I know, but if Jonah's starting a fight over this stuff it just makes me wonder. Does Jonah still like me? It's been over a year.
Zach: No one's sure honestly. Maybe you should confront Jonah about if things get bad.
Me: I will, thanks for telling me this Zach, but I'm gonna go to sleep now.
Zach: It's 9:30...
Me: Zach. I am a mother of a 9-month-old, and I own two dogs. I am going to sleep now. Good night.
Zach: Night Emma!
I quickly switched over to Daniel's messages and quickly texted him.
Me: Good night Seavey, going to bed! Love you.
Daniel: Good night, Emma. Love you too!
Right before bed though I thought about the whole Daniel and Jonah situation and quickly decided that after a month if they were still fighting I'd step in and attempt to clear everything up, and if that didn't work I didn't know what would.
